There are various modern training methods to increase achievement in a 100-meter run. This research used the repetition sprint method. This research aims to find out the effect of the repetition sprint method on the students with high physical fitness towards the speed in the 100-meter run. The method used in this research is the pre-test post-test design. The sample of this research was 15 students of the Sports Training Education Study Program, sport and health faculty of the Ganesha University of Education. These students are those with the highest physical fitness among 90 students in total. The physical fitness test was through a 2.4-kilometer run. The repetition sprint    method was applied in 24 meetings, started with a pre-test and ended with a post-test. The data were analyzed by using descriptive     statistics and paired sample T-test. The result shows that there is a difference found before and after the training. It is found that there is a 1.15-second increase in the average speed of the 100-meter run from the whole 15 samples. Therefore, it can be concluded that the  repetition sprint training method increases the speed in the 100-meter run.

Promotion of healthy active behaviors should start from early ages, as behaviors learned in youth are more likely to endure. A fundamental body of research in this field focuses on the implementation of programs within physical education (PE), thanks to its favorable characteristics. However, traditional PE based on exercise training and controlling styles seems to have weaker association with students’ health benefits. For this reason, the aim of this study was to assess the effects of a game-based PE program on physical fitness and psychological health in schoolchildren aged 10 to 12 years old. A total of 252 students were distributed in experimental (EG, games-centered activities) and control (CG, traditional exercise training activities) groups. The program lasted 6 months. Health-related physical fitness components, psychological wellbeing, self-esteem, stress, and anxiety were assessed before and after the treatment. Both groups increased physical fitness at post-test; however, cardiorespiratory fitness did not improve. No differences were found between the groups at post-test. Our results show that games may be as effective as traditional training methods; yet, they suggest that PE alone may be insufficient for obtaining substantive benefits in cardiorespiratory fitness, regardless of the type of task presented.

Abstract Indonesia is a country that has great potential for disaster. A major earthquake hit the Special Region of Yogyakarta, especially Bantul Regency, in 2006. This has demanded the establishment of a disaster-safe school that is ready to anticipate disasters. Disaster-safe school students need to be fully prepared in various aspects, including physical aspect. Therefore, this study aims to determine the increase in physical fitness before and after carrying out game-based physical activities for upper grade students in a Disaster-Safe School. This study adopted an experimental method that involved one group pre-test-post-test design. Participants were upper grade students (grade 4 to 5) in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Bantul, totaling 74 people under such criteria as aged 10 to 12 years and following the complete treatment. The instrument used was the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (IPFT) for children aged 10-12 years. Data analysis using paired sample t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in the physical fitness of students after being given treatment in the form of game-based physical activity for 12 meetings. Good physical fitness is a form of physical preparedness in facing various emergencies including disasters. The better physical fitness level of students, the more physically prepared they will be when facing disasters.

Sedentary lifestyle is one of the ten causes of death and disability in the world. More than two million deaths each year are caused by lack of movement or physical activity. The majority of teenagers are lazy to move and exercise. Aerobic exercise like aerobics is needed to achieve fitness. One way to assess fitness by measuring VO2 Max. This study aimed to look at the effect of aerobics on VO2 Max Level II students of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Riau Department of Nursing Education Study Program Outside the Main Campus. This research was an experimental research with one group pre-test-post test design approach. The samples size was 31 people, consisting of 22 women and 9 men. VO2 Max was tested using the Bleep test. Measurement of VO2 Max is done twice, namely before doing aerobic exercises and after doing aerobic exercises for 6 weeks with a frequency of 3 times a week, each aerobic exercise duration of 45 minutes. Data were analyzed by paired sample t-test. The results showed the average VO2 Max value of female students before and after doing aerobic exercise increased from 21.84 ml / kg / minute to 25.26 ml / kg / minute, with a p value of 0.000. In male students there was also an increase in the average VO2 Max before and after aerobic exercise from 29.08 ml / kg / min to 34.07 ml / kg / min with a p value of 0.002. Based on the results of the study concluded, aerobic exercise affects the increase in VO2 Max Polytechnic students of the Ministry of Health Riau Study Program Outside the Main Campus. We aimed to investigate the effect of Taekwondo training on physical fitness, mood, sociality, and cognitive function among international students in South Korea. We randomly assigned 24 international students to a control group (CG, n = 12) and experimental group (EG, n = 12). The EG performed Taekwondo training for 16 weeks, while the CG did not train. Each participant underwent a physical fitness test and sociability questionnaire before and after the intervention. We also examined changes in mood state and cognitive function, using the Korean version of the Profile of Mood State-Brief (K-POMS-B), and the Stroop Color and Word test, respectively. Regarding the physical fitness variables, sit-and-reach records in the EG significantly increased after intervention (p < 0.05). In the sub-variable of K-POMS-B, Vigor-Activity scores significantly increased (p < 0.05) after intervention, while the Fatigue-Inertia scores significantly decreased in the EG (p < 0.05). Furthermore, in the EG, peer relationship scores, a sub-variable of sociability, significantly decreased after intervention (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that Taekwondo training can not only improve flexibility among physical fitness factors, but can also be effective in improving the mood state and sociality of international students.
