<p><span lang="EN-US">This paper will describe the phenomenon of code mixing and code switching in <em>Aḥbabtuka Akśara <a name="_Hlk89780555"></a>Min Mā Yanbagī'</em>s novel based on sociolinguistic studies. The phenomenon of code mixing and code switching in this novel is worth further investigation because the novel makes extensive use of code mixing and code switching.. In addition, code mixing and code switching in <em>Aḥbabtuka Akśara Min Mā Yanbagī's </em>novel has not been discussed by other researchers. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that the code mixing in the novel <em>Aḥbabtuka Akśara Min Mā Yanbagī </em>is in the form of words and phrases. The form of code-mixing found is code-mixing of English words and phrases. The most widely used code switching is internal code switching and external code switching. Internal code switching occurs from <em>Fuṣḥā </em>Arabic to <em>Amiyah</em> Arabic and back to <em>Fuṣḥā </em>Arabic. In addition, external code switching occurs from Arabic <em>Fuṣḥā</em> to English and back again to Arabic <em>Fuṣḥā</em>. The factors that cause code mixing in <em>Aḥbabtuka Akśara Min Mā Yanbagī</em>'s novel (2014) by Aṡīr 'Abdullāh are (a) bringing up humor, (b) appreciation for the interlocutor, (c) petition to the interlocutor, and (d) annoyance. The factors that cause code switching are (a) the attitude of the speaker, and (b) the expression of the speaker's solidarity with the group.</span></p>

Nuyorican Spanglish is a variety of Spanglish used primarily by people of Puerto Rican origin living in New York. Like many other varieties of the hybrid Spanglish idiom, it is based on extensive code-switching. The objective of the article is to discuss the main features of code-switching as a strategy in Nuyrican Spanglish applying the methods of linguistic, componential, distribution and statistical analysis. The paper focuses on prosiac and poetic texts created in Nuyrican Spanglish between 1978 and 2020, including the novel Yo-Yo Boing! by Giannina Braschi and 142 selected Boricua poems, which allows us to make certain observations on the philosophy and identity of Nuyorican Spanglish speakers. As a result, two types of code-switching as a strategy are denoted: external and internal code-switching for both written and oral speech forms. Further, it is concluded that repetition, also falling into two categories (translated and untranslated), embodies the core values of Nuyorican Spanglish (freedom of choice and focus on the linguistic personality) and reflects the philosophical basis for code-switching.

AbstractReflectance, lighting, and geometry combine in complex ways to create images. How do we disentangle these to perceive individual properties, like the glossiness of a surface? We suggest that brains disentangle properties by learning to model statistical structure in proximal images. To test this, we trained unsupervised generative neural networks on renderings of glossy surfaces and compared their representations with human gloss judgments. The networks spontaneously cluster images according to distal properties such as reflectance and illumination, despite receiving no explicit information about them. Intriguingly, the resulting representations predict the specific patterns of ‘successes’ and ‘errors’ in human perception. Linearly decoding specular reflectance from the model’s internal code predicts human gloss perception better than ground truth, supervised networks, or control models, and predicts, on an image-by-image basis, illusions of gloss perception caused by interactions between material, shape, and lighting. Unsupervised learning may underlie many perceptual dimensions in vision, and beyond.

Social linguistics is the science that benefits our lives. One of the benefits of social linguistics is choosing the best languages when we want to speak. Language has the norm in conversation when we communicate with the other person, for example, if we talk with a son or daughter, we must use good words when speak with our parents, and in contrasts when we talk with our friend, so we has used generic words without thinking about the ethics of speaking. In this case, everyone has to choose the language with a best and most beneficial language. There are three types of popular language choice in social linguistics, It is the code transformation, code mixing, and a method in the same language. In this research, the focuses on the study is form and type of code mixing among students of the Department Arabic Language Teaching, because code mixing has happened a lot to students on the other. The aim of this research is to know the forms and types of code mixing. This research used qualitative method, with three method of date collecting – observation, interview and collect date, and the basic of observation is the hearing and writing (sima 'catat) about the aspects of languages. Conclusion - Forms of code mixing that happened to university students, in Department of Language Teaching STAI Syaichona Moh. Cholil, is focuses on two forms, namely code maxing of words, for example   Afwan saya datang terlambat ustadz .  And the Vocabulary code maxing, for example hidupkan mirwahah. As for the types of code mixing that happened to university students, in Department of Language Teaching STAI Syaichona Moh. Cholil, is also focused on mixing the external code and does not happen much about mixing the internal code. Keyword: Forms and type of code mixing, Arabic language, Indonesian language

The figure of a prominent Ukrainian writer Ivan Franko and his innovation in the evolution of the Ukrainian political and linguocognitological thought, especially his original ideas about a new type of the interdisciplinary studies in the Ukrainian linguistics are outlined in the research. The article analyses cognitive and discourse approach to the assessment of linguistic phenomena, defining a language as a living system, distinguishes linguophilosophical thinking of Ivan Franko as a linguist-anthropocentrist. According to his reflections on the scientific language nature and its inseparable semantic core, a term, it is possible to regard the ideological basis inherited by modern interdisciplinary studies: cognitive linguistics, theory of communication, linguopolitology. Thanks to Ivan Franko’s intellectual innovations, they managed to establish the Ukrainian anthropological terminology. According to Ivan Franko, pragmatic features merge into scientific definition along with a rational and logic explanation of a term context. They refer to emotion-esteem sphere of a speaker, their ideas and feelings. Thus, the scientist’s objectivism functions together with the publicist’s talent. When in the process of communication between its constituent entities, each of which creates his or her communicative-pragmatic space from the position of egocentrism, we experience cognitive conflicts or conflict situations, as a result, the communicative interaction is broken. The above observations give reasons to believe that Franko’s theory of suggestion has made the bridge to the modern theory of communication, which says: it is not so important what is said, but what is happening in the addressee. In other words: defining in the communication (exchanging of ideas, knowledge, feelings, behaviour patterns, etc) is not so much a communication code (language), but an internal, cognitive code, essence of man, his soul. This internal code is materialized in suggestion. Keywords: Ivan Franko, school of political thinking, term-politonim, cognitive-discourse approach, pragmatic meaning, anthropological terminology.

This study discusses code switching used by society in Baturaja village. This study aims to determine the types of code switching used by Baturaja society and the factors that determine code switching. The theory used in this research is sociolinguistic theory about code switching, types of code switching, factor of code switching. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection instruments consist of observation, recording, transcribing data, interviews, and taking notes. Based on the analysis, it was found that there are two types of code switching used by Baturaja society. the first type is internal code switching, the transition of language from local languages to national languages or vice versa. The second type is external code switching, namely the transfer of languages from national languages to international languages or vice versa. There are several factors that affect code switching: a) speaker, b) listener or interlocutor, c) presence of a third person, d) change in situation, and e) change the topic.

Spatial heterotopy of modern space contributes to the emergence of new communicative patterns in the field of „own – other” contacts. But the persisting traditional ethnic stereotypes conflict with the changing socio-cultural realities. In this article the authors analyze the problem of preservation culture from Stranger. In this regard serious questions raise. These are: what do we keep – either the traditional culture with its internal code or the culture as a whole; what and from whom do we protect – either the traditional culture from globalization challenges, or „our own culture” from the Other; and, at last, how do we protect it – either carefully saving from innovations or actively breaking all traditional forms clearing away the road for innovative development? Anyway rhizome world view becomes the factor that significantly complicates adaptation of NeoStranger into the receiving societies. It demands theoretical comprehension of a new strategy of cross-cultural communication in modern transcultural space.

This project attempts to create an obstruction avoiding robot which can automatically sense the presence of an obstruction in its path and avoid them. It intelligently detects barrier present in its path through the ultrasonic sensors, with the help of the internal code from the Arduino UNO, decisions are made to avoid the barriers. This has been achieved by using an ultrasonic sensor and the development board Arduino UNO. The ultrasonic sensor is mounted on a servo motor at the front of the vehicle for a wider field of view. The ultrasonic sensor acquires data which is processed by the Arduino which then decides the direction of travel for the robot. The robot requires low voltage and minimal maintenance for continued operation. Arduino being an open-source software has gained popularity for the creation of basic prototypes due to its relative simplicity in both design and coding. It also boasts of a large online community of learners and engineers.
