Problem: in the media, methods of subconscious influence on people are widely used, when the attitude of society to certain phenomena is formed with the help of stereotypical ideas that are introduced into the news flow, automatically causing a negative or positive reaction to a particular event in the mass consciousness. Media is one of the main agents of socialization that affects youth the most. Young adults are majority time are surrounded by the media, which brings me to my main question, "How is Mass Media Affecting Socialization in Children and Young Adults in Albania?" To understand this question one must know and understand what socialization is. The socialization process is a very dramatic impact on a child's life. Socialization is a "Continuing process whereby an individual acquires a personal identity and learns the norms, values, behavior, and social skills appropriate to his or her social position". Mass media has enormous effects on our attitudes and behavior which makes it an important contributor to the socialization process. in some ways mass media can serve as a positive function. It helps there to be more diversity, we can learn more about things that are going on in different countries. It can help you learn new things you did not know. Sadly Media can serve as a negative function in young people life. Young people want to be accepted by society and the media creates the ideal image that tells you what the characteristics are to be accepted and to be able to fit in with society. They show what you should look like, how you can look like this, and where to go to buy these things that will make you look right. This is why many young women deal with anorexia because they want to look like the ideal type that the media displays. Media also influences young people to misbehave. Media shows that being deviant makes you cool and look tough and that it's okay to do deviant things. Statistics show that when young people watch violence on television it increases their appetites to become involved in violence. It opens their minds to violence and makes them aware of crimes and people acting deviant. Many people think that the media does not play a role in the socialization process as much as family, peers and education. But in fact the media plays a strong role in the socialization process. The aim of this study is to see the positive and negative effects that the Albanian media plays in the socialization process in Albania.

The paper examines the relationship between parenting styles concerning media and the ability of young people to criticize media. It is based on 28 qualitative interviews with each parent and their children. Young people use social networks such as Instagram extensively, while their parents use them much less often. Nevertheless, they are the first instance of media socialization. They should communicate norms for media use and inform about opportunities and risks. Instagram fulfils adolescents' desire for social interaction with others or participation in the life of others, documentation of everyday life and the possibility of self-expression through its visual characteristics. The paper develops a typology of young people depending on parenting styles and illustrates their relevance for media criticism. The dimensions of parenting styles heat and control characterize this ability. The higher the warmth of parenting, the higher the children's ability to criticize the media. The influence of control is less clear. It is advantageous to a certain degree and helps the children. If it becomes too strong, control unfolds a rather negative potential that inhibits young people's media literacy.

Recent scientific studies have reached the near-unanimous conclusion that the media produce a stereotypical representation of young people. However, research in this area has not often scrutinized whether there are any significant differences in the coverage of the subject matter. Notably, this article examines whether the political leaning of newspapers has any impact on the levels of plurality in the news coverage of youth. On the basis of political claim analyses of six newspapers from three countries (Greece, Italy, and Spain), we find that the coverage of youth in the public debate is very similar if we compare center-right to center-left newspapers. This suggests that the social construction of the concept of youth dominates in the adult world, regardless of any political differences. Nonetheless, differences emerge when young people are given the opportunity to speak for themselves; center-left newspapers are more likely to recognize the agency of, and give a voice to, young people.

In 2017 the company Epic Games created the videogame Fortnite. This game has become the cross-platform survival and open experience with the greatest penetration worldwide. The rapid increase of use has spread alarm voices among parents and the media have echoed these concerns criticizing the game for being responsible for most afflictions suffered by children and adolescents. 178 The study is based on an understanding of the game as a key element in personal and social development. Therefore, this project aims to explore and describe the specific interactions emerging as a result of the penetration of Fortnite into family life, seeking to extend our understanding of the phenomenon and the potential effects that it may produce in the family dynamics. The research also seeks to categorize the dynamics generated, emphasizing more specifically on implications for parents in terms of educative mediation. Concerning the methodology, this is a qualitative exploratory case study, in which observations and in-depth interviews are the main sources of data collection. According to the analysis of the first interviews and observations, it is possible to provisionally hypothesize that, unlike simplistic views spread through mass media of Fortnite as a new dangerous addictive platform for young people, the diverse contexts and realities that configure each family make this type of linear interpretations highly problematic. Most technological devices affect the interaction and relational dynamics already installed in families. Throughout the last forty years, television and offline video games have been playing a significant role in shaping the family relationships. Online environments today increase such influence. The complex interrelations generated in blended social ecosystems, such as 'what is' or 'what is not' permitted, the mechanism of videogame banning or use as a form of punishment or reward, the myths, and ignorance on the part of adults concerning the ‘virtual’ socialization of youth and the relevance of this practice among young people, are some of the contributions that can be drawn from this investigation. This presentation exposes the collaborative work conducted by researchers of Universidad Austral (Argentina) and Universidad de los Andes (Chile), which has gained the first place in the award provided by the Network of Latin American University Institutes of Family (REDIFAM).
