Human daily activity recognition has been a hot spot in the field of computer vision for many decades. Despite best efforts, activity recognition in naturally uncontrolled settings remains a challenging problem. Recently, by being able to perceive depth and visual cues simultaneously, RGB-D cameras greatly boost the performance of activity recognition. However, due to some practical difficulties, the publicly available RGB-D data sets are not sufficiently large for benchmarking when considering the diversity of their activities, subjects, and background. This severely affects the applicability of complicated learning-based recognition approaches. To address the issue, this article provides a large-scale RGB-D activity data set by merging five public RGB-D data sets that differ from each other on many aspects such as length of actions, nationality of subjects, or camera angles. This data set comprises 4528 samples depicting 7 action categories (up to 46 subcategories) performed by 74 subjects. To verify the challengeness of the data set, three feature representation methods are evaluated, which are depth motion maps, spatiotemporal depth cuboid similarity feature, and curvature space scale. Results show that the merged large-scale data set is more realistic and challenging and therefore more suitable for benchmarking.

This paper presents the results of new research into British Iron Age diet. Specifically, it summarises the existing evidence and compares this with new evidence obtained from stable isotope analysis. The isotope data come from both humans and animals from ten British middle Iron Age sites, from four locations in East Yorkshire, East Lothian, Hampshire, and Cornwall. These represent the only significant data-set of comparative humans (n = 138) and animals (n = 212) for this period currently available for the UK. They are discussed here alongside other evidence for diet during the middle Iron Age in Britain. In particular, the question of whether fish, or other aquatic foods, were a major dietary resource during this period is examined. The isotopic data suggest similar dietary protein consumption patterns across the groups, both within local populations and between them, although outliers do exist which may indicate mobile individuals moving into the sites. The diet generally includes a high level of animal protein, with little indication of the use of marine resources at any isotopically distinguishable level, even when the sites are situated directly on the coast. The nitrogen isotopic values also indicate absolute variation across these locations which is indicative of environmental background differences rather than differential consumption patterns and this is discussed in the context of the difficulty of interpreting isotopic data without a complete understanding of the ‘baseline’ values for any particular time and place. This reinforces the need for significant numbers of contemporaneous animals to be analysed from the same locations when interpreting human data-sets.

Based on these data show that there is an average increase of -5,267. Correlation value obtained from paired samples test (T-test) is 0,915 with significant 0,000. T-count Value is -3,088 with sig. (2-tailed) value is 0,008. T-count (-3,008) ≥ t-table (2,145) and sig. (2-tailed) value is 0,008 ≤ 0,05. These data mean that Ha in this research is accepted and Ho is rejected so that there are different an average manners before and after treatment (sociodrama method).
