It's not easy being a mother and a father at the same time, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to look at the communication experience of single mothers during the Covid-19 pandemic, this research uses a phenomenological qualitative method approach. The results of the research are that during the Covid-19 pandemic, many parents have difficulty communicating in parenting where two parents also carry out the dual function of being parents as well as being teachers for the benefit of children who also carry out learning activities at home, single mothers experience negative experiences at the same time. positive experience when carrying out the function of being both a mother and a father at the same time. Negative experiences are felt when mothers have to work for a living and become teachers for children who do learning activities at home, mothers find it difficult to communicate with children asking for educational functions usually carried out by teachers at school. A positive experience was felt by mothers during the Covid-19 pandemic when they were able to share difficulties and children could understand the condition of mothers who had to carry out the role of a single mother. This research is important to do in order to provide understanding to policy makers to consider the psychological condition of the family when they have to follow government policies to stay at home.

With high urbanisation rates, cities in sub-Saharan Africa are contending with food insecurity. Urban studies scholars have approached the issue mainly from the perspective of food deserts. We adapt Sen’s ‘resource bundles’ and Watts and Bohles’s ‘space of vulnerability’ concepts to examine food insecurity as a function of both tangible and intangible resources. Moreover, we also interrogate the role of kin in strengthening safety nets for the urban poor. Drawing on a data set of 462 single mothers in a slum in Nairobi, Kenya, we find that (1) bundles comes in four types; (2) bundles with high levels of all resources buffer against food insecurity as do (3) bundles weighted with high levels of wealth and social standing; and (4) kin enhance the protective effect of bundles only for two types. These findings should direct urban poverty researchers to consider the compounding effect of resources in the reproduction of poverty and social inequality and encourage policy makers to focus on both vulnerability and resilience in designing interventions to ensure food security.

Objective:The demonstration of differences in grieving process between children mourning for the parent and adults grieving for their spouse.Method:Sub-structured clinical interviews were given to 10 adults and 10 children using the services of the Psychiatric Hospital of Petra Olympus to evaluate their reactions and grieving process.Discussion:2 of the evaluated children had outbursts of cries during the sessions. This behavior was the same at home.8 played the role of the ‘supportive adult’ to the grieving parent, not allowing themselves to express feelings of anger, grief, guilt, and fears. They didn't ask for support, in fear of becoming a burden to the rest of the family.Their parents noticed changes in sleep patterns, eating habits, and behavior. One child wasn't well-informed about the loss and didn't fully understand what had happened to the deceased. As for parents, 8 asked and received medical support and medication, whilst 2 started consuming alcohol. 6 were avoiding talking to their children and sharing their feelings, whereas 3 mentioned incapability to go on with their life. Conclusions:Children mourn in a different way from adults. Their grief may not be easily detected. The proper way of informing the child, the encouragement to the expression of feelings, the living memories of their late parent and the participation in the family grieving process (both for children and adults) are not causes of further stress and anxiety but lead to a better way of resolving the grieving process, offering comfort and relief.

<span class="fontstyle0">Problems of students’ character are currently the main focus in the education realm. The role of the family, teachers, and the society is critical in shaping the character of children.<br />The weakness of character-based learning in an educational institution has been the key factor on the problem of student characters. The teacher in the learning process is often less<br />inovative and creative in designing the learning process, especially in terms of learning media design. Comic is one of media that can help students and can replace the position of teachers in learning activities both inside and outside the classroom. Comic can be used in a two-way learning process, namely as a teaching tool and as a medium for shaping the character of the students. Based on observation field, it is known that in the process of learning, comic as instructional medium has never been utilized. Therefore, the presence of learning media in the form of comics is expected to assist the teacher in the learning process and helps in forming the character of students. Comic languages using polite language are expected to avoid impolite languages and not in accordance with the objectives of education character. This also inspires the use of instructional media comic contents of learning materials in elementary school. Comics as a medium of learning is able to build the foundations of character for learners and are ultimately capable of constructing human characters that are intact and resilient.<br /></span><strong></strong>

The results showed that before and after the intervention there were significant mean differences in the level of knowledge of patients from 7.94 to 10.38 (p = 0.002), but in the variable readiness of stroke patients there was no significant difference in average seen from the mean value of 14.25 became 15.88 (p = 0.411). In the patient's family, it was shown that before and after the intervention there was a significant of mean difference in the level of knowledge from 5.19 to 6.81 (p = 0.012). However, health education does not affect the level of readiness of stroke patients for transition. The Novel COVID-19 pandemic has dissolved the spatial distinction between production/workplace and reproduction/home. With essential services like childcare and public schools either shut down or dramatically curtailed, families have been stretched to the breaking point. Nowhere is the stress greater than among single mothers. This paper presents the results of a survey of single mothers who live alone with their children and single mothers who live in multi-adult households. We focus on three questions relevant to the situation faced by single mothers: (a) Does the experience of having created a support network prior to becoming a single mother mitigate the impact of the pandemic on single mothers? (b) Will the weight of daycare for preschool and school age children lead single mothers to look for new ways to organize their households? (c) More generally, will the antagonism between production and reproduction be altered as a result of the pandemic?
