Background : Hemodialysis patients are at risk of anemia, malnutrition, and gastrointestinal disorders. Because of those many nutritional problems, hemodialysis patients need to obtain nutritional support of protein sources, which can be filled with catfish (Clarias sp.) abon. Objectives : This study aimed to determine the change of hemoglobin level in hemodialysis patients with the provision of nutritional support. Method : This was a quasi-experimental with the pre-post test design. The study was conducted at Panembahan Senopati General Hospital in Bantul during January–December 2017. Catfish abon was given to the eligible patients approximately 0.36 g/kgBW/day for 21 days. Subjects were 32 routine hemodialysis patients whose age are >18 years. The dependent variable was hemoglobin level, while the independent variable was the provision of catfish abon. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate with paired T-test. Results : The average of pre and post intervention hemoglobin level were 9.24±SD  g/dl and 9.50±SD  g/dl respectively. There were no differences on average hemoglobin level of hemodialysis patient (p=0.208). Conclusion: provision of nutritional support increases the average of hemoglobin level during the intervention, although it does not statistically affect the hemoglobin level of hemodialysis patients.

Background: Hemodialysis patients often experience hypoalbuminemia complications, which occur mainly due to decreased synthesis due to inflammation, lack of protein intake, the fluid status of patients, and losses from the dialysate. Another problem in hemodialysis is malnutrition, with a prevalence between 23–73% globally. Gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite also often occur in hemodialysis. Therefore, hemodialysis patients need to get nutritional support, which can be given in the form of catfish abon, one of the local Indonesian food.Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the use of catfish as a source of animal protein to improve the albumin levels of hemodialysis patients.Materials and Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-post test design. This study involved 34 hemodialysis patients as subjects, with inclusion criteria, were routinely two times a week, aged >18 years, willing to be the subject and follow the research procedures, have albumin levels ≥3.0 g/dL, and no catfish allergies. Patients with anasarca edema, experiencing complications of diabetes mellitus and malignancy were excluded. The dependent variable was albumin content, while the independent variable was catfish as an animal protein source. Data were analyzed univariate and bivariate by Fisher's Exact test.Results: Fisher's Exact test results on the effectiveness of using catfish as an animal protein source to improve albumin levels of hemodialysis patients showed p-value=0.048.Conclusion: The use of catfish as an effective animal protein source significantly affected on improving albumin levels in hemodialysis patients.

Introduction: World Health Organizations recommends pregnant women to consume 120-240 mg of iron (in the form of Ferrum) per day and increase the dose by 400 mg 3 times a day if the Anemia is severe. One of the herbal therapies that can increase hemoglobin levels is Tamarillo (Solanum Betacum Cav) with a vitamin C level of 25 mg, Fe 2,765 ppm. The research objective was to analyze the effect of Tamarillo juice consumption in increasing hemoglobin (HB) levels of pregnant women with Anemia. Methods: Quasi-experimental research with pre and post-test along with control group design was used to compare the HB levels of ≥ 32 weeks pregnant women who were given Tamarillo fruit juice. Subjects in this study were 34 pregnant women as the treatment group who received Tamarillo juice and blood supplement and the control group of pregnant women who only receive blood supplements. Results: The results of the T-test analysis showed that in the treatment group there was an increase in the average hemoglobin level of 0.91 g/dL in the first week and 1.75 g/dL in the second week, while in the control group there was an increase in the average hemoglobin level of 0.43 g/dL in the first week and an increase of 0.89 g/dL in the second week. Conclusion: The administration of Tamarillo juice as an alternative companion to blood supplement in the prevention and management of care for pregnant women with Anemia.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kuis pada akhir pertemuan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X MAN Lappariaja. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together dengan memberikan kuis di akhir pertemuan dan tanpa pemberian kuis pada akhir pertemuan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together serta variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok ikatan kimia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MAN Lappariaja yang terdiri dari 10 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 390 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu random sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas X7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang dan kelas X9 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan tes hasil belajar pada materi pokok ikatan kimia berupa post-test yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis statistika inferensial diperoleh thitung (2.73) > ttabel (1.67) pada 𝛼 ═ 0,05. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kuis di akhir pertemuan pada pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X MAN Lappariaja pada materi pokok ikatan kimia. The independent variable in this research were Numbered Heads Together learning with Quiz Presentation at the last session and without quiz of Numbered Heads Together of Learning cooperative, the dependent variable was student’s achievement on Chemical Bonding subject matter. The population was class X MAN Lappariaja consisted class 10 with number of 390 students. The sample of this research consisted of two classes, namely class X7 as an experiment class with 30 students and class X9 as a control class with 30 students. The data of the research were gathered by testing the students’ achievement on chemical bonding subject matter for post-test which were analysed by using t-test. Results of inferential statistical analysis were tcalculate (2.73) higher than ttable (1.67) on α ═0.05. Conclude that presenting quiz at the end of the meeting on cooperative Learning Numbered Heads Together gives effected to toward student’s achievement of class X MAN Lappariaja on Chemical Bonding subject matter. The objective of this study is to measure whether there is or not significant effect of teaching reading by utilizing Hot Potatoes software toward students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text. The variables used were the teaching treatment of Hot Potatoes Software as the independent variable and the students’ reading comprehension of Descriptive Text as dependent variable. Then, the research designed was Quasi-experimental design and the presentation of data used was quantitative. The data were obtained from the eleventh grade, of which 28 students were taken as sample. The students are divided into two groups; experiment group consisted of 12 students and control group consists of 16 students. To get the data, the pre-test and post-test were applied and then analyzed using t-test formula. The researcher had concluded that there is Significant effect of Hot Potatoes Software toward the students’ reading comprehension achievement. The result showed that mean of students’ post-test was increased. It is proved by the t-test (8.54) which is higher than t-table (2.05) at level of significance 5%. It means that the alternative hypothesis was accepted and it proved that Hot Potatoes Software had significant effect toward students’ reading comprehension of Descriptive Text

Abstract : Patient with chronical diease such as Hemodialysis more likely need psycotherapy because until now medical atention only focus on physical aspect. Psycotherapy that can be used on Hemodialysis that going through depression is cognitive therapy and logo therapy. This study was to analysed the difference of influence between cognitive therapy and logo therapy on Hemodialysis patient that going through depression. This study was used quasi experimental pre–post test design. Respondent taking part in this study was 15 respondent for cognitive therapy and 15 respondent for logo therapy with puporsive sampling procedure. Study was conducted on Hemodialysis unit on RS Wava Husada Kepanjen from 21 April until 26 Mey 2017. Data analysis used on this study was dependent t test  and independent t test. Dependent t test  analysis showed  significant value is 0,000 (less than < 0,05).Analysis showed  significant value is 0,000 (less than < 0,05) that means there is difference between cognitive therapy and logo therapy to decrease depression on hemodialysis patient with mean value cognitive therapy (1,62) dan logo therapy (3,82). Conclussion on this study is that logo therapy more effective to reduce depression on Hemodialysis patient than cognitive therapy so logo therapy can applicated in hemodialysis patient.Keyword : cognitive therapy, logo therapy, depression in hemodialysis patient Abstrak : Pasien dengan penyakit kronis dengan hemodialisis diperlukan psikoterapi karena selama ini fokus penanganan di pelayanan kesehatan hanya pada masalah fisik. Psikoterapi yang bisa digunakan pada pasien hemodialisis yang mengalami depresi adalah cognitive therapy dan logo therapy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh cognitive therapy dan logo therapy terhadap depresi pada pasien dengan hemodialisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian quasi experimental pre – post test design. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini 15 responden untuk kelompok cognitive therapy dan 15 responden untuk kelompok logo therapy yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan di unit hemodialisis RS Wava Husada Kepanjen mulai tanggal 21 April – 26 Mei 2017. Pemberian terapi dilakukan oleh peneliti sendiri yang telah mendapatkan lisensi dari perawat spesialis jiwa. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dependent t test dan independent t test. Hasil analisis dependent t test  pada kelompok sebelum dan setelah diberikan cognitive therapy dan logo therapy didapatkan hasil nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan skor depresi antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pemberian cognitive therapy dan logo therapy  Sedangkan hasil analisis independent t test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti  ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara cognitive therapy dan logo therapy dalam menurunkan depresi pada pasien dengan hemodialisis yaitu dengan rata – rata penurunan terhadap depresi untuk cognitive therapy dan logo therapy masing – masing yaitu 1,62 dan 3,86.  Hal ini berarti bahwa logo therapy lebih efektif menurunkan depresi pada pasien hemodialisis dari pada cognitive therapy. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut diharapkan bahwa logo therapy bisa diaplikasikan sebagai alternatif psikoterapi pada pasien hemodialisis.Kata Kunci: cognitive therapy, logo therapy, depresi pada pasien hemodialisis

The Lower back pain is chronic pain complaints at least three months with activity limitations than caused by pain when doing the movement of mobilization Lower back pain is common musculoskeletal disorder than attacks 80% efforts of adult population. One of the made for decrease pain is William flexion exercise. Goals : The purpose of this research is to know William flexion exercise effectiveness to reducing the pain level of nurses in Santa Elisabeth hospital Medan 2014. Methods: The research method used is quasi experimental design one group (pretestpostest) design. Research conducted on 14 respondents. The analysis used in this research is paired t-test. Results: The results of research show there is an effectiveness of William flexion exercise to decrease pain scale, with William flexion exercise pre-intervention pain scale is 64,3% of moderate pain, severe pain controlled 35,7%, and post intervention score 64,3% of light pain and 35,7% of moderat pain, from the result found that Pvalue= 0,000 (P<0,05). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan three corner drill terhadap kelincahan dan power otot tungkai. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi experimental dengan rancangan the non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan siswa putra peserta ektrakurikuler sepak bola SMPN 2 Pekutatan. Data post-test kelincahan dan power otot tungkai pada kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol dianalisis dengan uji-t independent pada taraf signifikansi (α) 0,05 dengan bantuan program SPSS 16.0. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t independent didapatkan hasil : (1) untuk variabel kelincahan, hasil perbandingan kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol didapatkan nilai thitung = -2,948 , dengan nilai signifikansi 0,009, (2) untuk variabel power, hasil perbandingan kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol didapatkan nilai thitung = 3,176, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,005. Nilai signifikansi hitung lebih kecil dari nilai α (Sig < 0,05), dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian “pelatihan three corner drill berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kelincahan dan power otot tungkai pada siswa putra peserta ektrakurikuler sepak bola SMPN 2 Pekutatan” diterima. Dari hasil analisis data dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa : (1) Pelatihan three corner drill berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kelincahan pada siswa putra peserta ektrakurikuler sepak bola SMP Negeri 2 Pekutatan (2) Pelatihan three corner drill berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai pada siswa putra peserta ektrakurikuler sepak bola SMP Negeri 2 Pekutatan. The type of research was a quasi-experimental and the design of research was the non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were man’s student football extracurricular participants of SMPN 2 Pekutatan. Agility and muscle power of legs posttest to the treatment group and the control group were analyzed by independent t-test at significance 0,05 with SPSS 16.0. Based on independent t-test results were showed : (1) to the agility variable, the comparison of the treatment and the control group values obtained t = -2,948, with a significance value of 0,009, (2) to muscle power of legs variable, the comparison of the treatment and the control group values obtained t = 3,176, with a significance value of 0,005. Calculated significance value smaller than the value of 0,05 (Sig < 0.05), thus the research hypothesis "three corner drill training affect the increased agility and muscle power of legs in football extracurricular participants of SMPN 2 Pekutatan " was received. Adolescent period is a critical period that requires quality health services. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of health education through booklet media on the knowledge and attitude towards reproductive health among adolescents. This was a quasi-experimental case control study with nonequivalent two group design conducted on 282 students of SMP Negeri 37, a public junior high school, in the work area of Ibrahim Adjie Public Health Center in Bandung city during December 2018–May 2019. Subjects were divided into two groups, intervention and control groups, with 141 subjects in each group. Data collected were tested for normality and homogeneity using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Levene tests, respectively, followed by a bivariate analysis using Wilcoxon test to determine the difference. Knowledge of all students in both groups was poor during pre-test with an increase found in 135 subjects (95.7%) in the intervention group (p=0.001) and 63 subjects (44.7%) in the control group (p=0.003) based on the post-test results. Negative attitude was also seen in both groups during pre-test, with a shift towards positive attitude was evident in 134 students (95.0%) in the intervention group (p=0.001) and 117 students (83.0%) in the control group (p=0.002) based on post-test results. This presence that health information conveyed through booklet has a probability of giving 0.995 times stronger influence leaflet. Thus, the use of booklet can improve knowledge and attitude towards adolescent reproductive health. PENGARUH BOOKLET MEDIA PROMOSI KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI REMAJA TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP REMAJA YANG BERTEMPAT TINGGAL DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS IBRAHIM ADJIE TAHUN 2018Masa remaja merupakan masa kritis yang membutuhkan pelayanan kesehatan yang berkualitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui media booklet terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi-experimental case control dengan rancangan nonequivalent two group yang dilaksanakan terhadap 282 siswa/i SMP Negeri 37 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Ibrahim Adjie Kota Bandung selama Desember 2018–Mei 2019. Subjek dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok intervensi dan kontrol dengan 141 subjek di setiap kelompok. Data yang terkumpul diuji normalitas dan homogenitasnya masing-masing menggunakan Uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan Levene, dilanjutkan dengan analisis bivariat menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon untuk mengetahui perbedaannya. Pengetahuan semua siswa pada kedua kelompok kurang saat pre-test dengan peningkatan pengetahuan 135 subjek (95,7%) pada kelompok intervensi (p=0,001) dan 63 subjek (44,7%) pada kelompok kontrol (p=0,003) berdasar atas hasil post-test. Sikap negatif juga terlihat pada kedua kelompok selama pre-test dengan pergeseran ke arah sikap positif 134 siswa (95,0%) pada kelompok intervensi (p=0,001) dan 117 siswa (83,0%) pada kelompok kontrol (p=0,002) berdasar atas hasil post-test. Informasi kesehatan yang disampaikan melalui media booklet ini berpeluang memberikan pengaruh 0,995 kali lebih kuat daripada media leaflet. Dengan demikian, penggunaan booklet dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap remaja terhadap kesehatan reproduksi. Simpulan, terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui media booklet terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi.

This quasi-experimental study aimed to assess the effects of a music and writing program on lexical spelling in Grade 2 elementary school students. A music and writing program was developed and tested in an experimental group ( n = 24) comprising a Grade 2 class in a French-language elementary school in Québec (Canada). Another Grade 2 class at the same school served as a control group ( n = 23). Both groups were assessed for lexical spelling in January and May. Group comparison of the post-test results on performance and progress in lexical spelling showed significantly better scores for the experimental over the control group.

The purpose of this study to determine: the effect of cooperative learning type of STAD to improve problem solving ability mathematics between students who were given cooperative learning type STAD with students and who were given direct learning. The type of this research is a quasi-experimental research by taking samples from the existing population. The variable of this research consist of independent variable that is cooperative learning type STAD while the dependent variable is problem solving mathematics ability of student. This research was conducted at SMP Swasta Al-Maksum Percut Sei Tuan. This research will be conducted in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. The population in this study is all students  of SMP Swasta Al-Maksum Percut Sei Tuanand the sample in this study are students of grade eight by taking two classes that are VIII-4as experimental class and VII1-1as control class by random. Technique of collecting data in this research by using test. Test used is the problem solving mathematics ability test (pre test and post test). Data that have been collected then analyzed and performed hypothesis testing by using regression test. Based on the results of the analysis is obtained: there are effects of cooperative learning type STAD to improve student problem solving mathematics ability. Therefore, it is suggested that cooperative learning type STAD be used as an alternative for teachers to improve student problem solving mathematics ability.
