This article provides an emotional assessment of Russian and Spanish vocabulary (including slang), as well as phraseology. For the first time, a comprehensive semantic comparative study of the ways of forming and using evaluative units, reflecting the peculiarities of the perception of the linguistic pictures of the Spanish and Russian languages, has been carried out. The author analyzes the lexical and phraseological material, ways of representation in lexicographic practice, the reasons for the emergence of secondary evaluative meanings. The results obtained allow us to confirm the hypothesis that the belonging of the primary nominative meanings of lexical units to a specific FSH, in our case the “divine” group, leads to the emergence of secondary positive emotional evaluative semantics. Most often, in the secondary estimated values of both Russian and Spanish linguistic units of the FSH “divinity”, the semantics of “beauty, kindness, purity” is realized. Keywords: pragmalinguistics, Spanish, Russian, lexical and phraseological units, figurative meaning, emotional evaluation, FSG, “divinity”, “angel”, “God”.

One of the questions which has engaged the mind and soul of many people is: how can fifteen century old teachings of Islam and its guide lines given by Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) and infallible Imams (peace be upon them) can answer the needs of today and how can it lead the way of today’s people to perfection? Is the teaching of Islam compatible with science of today? The present papertries to emphasize on teachings of Islam not belonging to people of specific time period, and have static and variable laws and comprehensive view on every aspect of life. It also performs an analytic and comparative study on viewpoint of psychologists and sayings of Imam Ali's concerning the most fundamental need of humanity; Autogenesis and perfectionism. Probably it may help us answer the above questions and will also help us in manifesting some part of that infallible Imam's endless knowledge.

This article is devoted to the study of the field of frequency in the understanding of functional grammar. The means of expression of frequency on the material of Russian and Persian languages in the structural-semantic plan are considered. Description of frequency in Russian and Persian in the functional aspect makes it possible to determine the essence and semantic structure of the category under study, as well as to obtain data on the methods of its language expression. A comparative study of frequency expressions in Russian and Persian has not yet been conducted. The purpose of this study is, firstly, to identify the system of meanings mentioned, and secondly, to move in the direction from meaning to form and indicate the totality of the means that are used in the sentence to express these meanings. The main method used was comparative analysis. The lack of linguistic research on this topic indicates the relevance of the choice of topic, and the novelty of the work is that it is the first time that all language means of expression of frequency are systematized. The practical value of the work lies in the fact that the research methodology can be applied to the description of other semantic and functional fields.

The relevance of the article is due to the absence of the comparative analysis of the holdings of the Scientific Archive of the Chuvash State Institute of Humanities (SA ChSIH) and the 17-volume capital dictionary “The Dictionary of the Chuvash Language” by the correspondent member of the USSR Academy of Sciences N.I. Ashmarin. The “Dictionary” written and published in the first half of the 20th century is based upon the texts stored in the aforesaid archives and reflect the day-to-day life and vocabulary of the traditional Chuvash society in terms of history, archaeology, religion, ethnography, language, arts, and folklore. Undoubtedly the “Dictionary” is a jewel of the Chuvash people, it is more complete and valuable than all the dictionaries of the Chuvash language and is valued highly by linguists in Russia and worldwide. It is wise to subscribe to the opinion that the Chuvash people can be proud of such an excellent dictionary. All the examples provided by the author of the article are taken from original sources de visu. The comparative analysis performed makes it possible to make a conclusion on unquestionable advantage of archival texts because they are substantially more exact and complete compared with the “Dictionary”. The idea may not be new, but it has always been an a priori one. The article is meant to continue the discussed subject, since it is being developed for the first time in this work.

This paper sketches a recently emerging divide between two interpretations of Hume's methodology and philosophy of science. On the first interpretation Hume relies on an inductive methodology and provides a (Newtonian) dynamic theory of the mind, and his philosophy of science reflects this methodology. On the second, Hume relies on inferences to the best explanation via comparative analysis of instances, and offers an anatomy of the mind relying on a chemical and organic imagery. The paper also aspires to lean the reader's sympathies toward the latter interpretation while outlining some of its potential consequences for the character of Hume's psychology, the limits of associationism, and his empiricism.

SummaryThere are only a few sequences of ancient magic signs known to us today that have been preserved on multiple artefacts. A previously unnoticed sequence of 17 signs on a gem in the Museum of Fine Arts in Vienna occurs with minor but significant variations on two other gems in the State Museum of Egyptian Art in Munich. The Viennese gem is dated to the 16th century and is documented as a drawing in a 17th century publication. The first Munich gem has been assigned to the Graeco-Roman period. The second gem, which, according to the inventory card of the museum, also belongs to the Graeco-Roman period, is published here for the first time. A comparative study of the three gems and the drawing has lead to a number of new findings, including the re-dating of the Munich gems.

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is an important method in data analysis, which was developed by Fisher. There are situations when there is impreciseness in data In order to analyze such data, the aim of this paper is to introduce for the first time an intuitionistic fuzzy two-factor ANOVA (2-D IFANOVA) without replication as an extension of the classical ANOVA and the one-way IFANOVA for a case where the data are intuitionistic fuzzy rather than real numbers. The proposed approach employs the apparatus of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) and index matrices (IMs). The paper also analyzes a unique set of data on daily ticket sales for a year in a multiplex of Cinema City Bulgaria, part of Cineworld PLC Group, applying the two-factor ANOVA and the proposed 2-D IFANOVA to study the influence of “ season ” and “ ticket price ” factors. A comparative analysis of the results, obtained after the application of ANOVA and 2-D IFANOVA over the real data set, is also presented.
