The purpose of this study is to find out how effective game-based learning is for improving Javanese script reading and writing skills. This research method is qualitative with the sources of data from this study are caregivers, foster children, and documents. The target in this study was the Al-Maun orphanage located on Margo Noyo street, Ngajum Village, Ngajum District, Malang Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, documentation and tests. The data analysis technique used is an interactive model. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the game-based learning method is very effective in improving the ability to read and write Javanese script among children. Judging from the results the average value of children - children increased and only 8% are below the average (75).

This study aims to improve learning outcomes in English aspects of reading skill ability through the word by word pronunciation learning method. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Parepare with a total of 10 people. The data collection technique of this research used observation, tests, and field notes. While the data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the increase in learning for fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Parepare through pronunciation word by word is in the first cycle in the low category with an average score of 53.00, while in the second cycle there is an increase in the high category with an average value. average 85.00. In connection with these results, it can be concluded that the learning method of pronounciation word by word can improve learning outcomes of English aspects of reading skill ability for fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Parepare.

The purpose of this study was to determine students' poetry writing skills before the application of acrostic techniques, the process of applying acrostic techniques in each cycles, and the increase produced after applying the acrostic technique. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that 1) the students' poetry writing skills before applying the acrostic technique obtained an average score of 46.87. 2) The application of acrostic techniques goes well according to the stages. The activity of teachers and students has increased dramatically, in the first cycle the teacher's activity gained a percentage of 64.15%, in the second cycle teacher activity increased to 89.1%. Student learning activities in the first cycle reached 61.65%, in cycle II it increased by 87.5%. 3) Students' poetry writing skills after applying acrostic techniques have increased. In the first cycle, the average score of students was 69.45, and the percentage of learning completeness was 51.75%. In cycle II the average value of students skill increased sharply to 89.37, and the percentage was 91%. Thus, the CAR carried out has been completed with the expected goal of improving poetry writing skills in Indonesian Language Subjects.

Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of Student Teams - Achievement Divisions (STAD) to improve the reading and writing skills of students in grade VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Falah Singosari and describe the improvement in students' reading and writing abilities with the Student Teams - Achievment Divisions (STAD) method. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out with several cycles. Each cycle is carried out in two meetings consisting of 4 stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Data analysis of the application of this method by comparing the scores obtained by students in cycle 1 and cycle 2. Indicators of increasing students' reading ability can be seen in the increase in the average value of students in the first cycle with enough category with a percentage of completeness 57.89%, while in the second cycle is sufficient with a percentage of completeness 63.15%. Indicators of increasing students' writing ability can be seen in the increase in the average value of students in the first cycle with a good category with a percentage of completeness of 52.63%, while in the second cycle is good with a percentage of completeness of 68.42%.المستخلص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف تنفيذ "Student Teams – Achievment Divisions" (STAD) لتحسين مهارات القراءة والكتابة لدى طلاب الصف السابع. تستخدم هذه الدراسة منهجًا نوعيًا لنوع بحث الفصل الإجرئي الذي يتم تنفيذه مع عدة دورات. يتم تنفيذ كل دورة في اجتماعين يتكونان من 4 مراحل ، هما (1) التخطيط ، (2) التنفيذ ، (3) الملاحظة ، (4) التفكير. 1 أظهرت النتائج أن تطبيق طريقة "Student Teams – Achievment Divisions" (STAD) يمكن أن يحسن قدرات الطلاب على القراءة والكتابة. يمكن ملاحظة مؤشرات زيادة قدرة الطلاب على القراءة في الزيادة في متوسط قيمة الطلاب في الدورة الأولى مع فئة كافية مع نسبة اكتمال بنسبة 57.89 ٪ ، بينما في الدورة الثانية كافية مع نسبة اكتمال 63.15 ٪. يمكن ملاحظة مؤشرات زيادة قدرة الطلاب على الكتابة في الزيادة في متوسط قيمة الطلاب في الدورة الأولى مع فئة جيدة بنسبة اكتمال بلغت 52.63 ٪ ، بينما في الدورة الثانية جيدة مع نسبة اكتمال 68.42 ٪.الكلمة الرئيسية: طريقة "Student Teams – Achievment Divisions" (STAD)، مهارة القراءة، مهارة الكتابة

The ability of students in writing is still low, especially in writing anecdotal texts, so we need a learning innovation that can improve students' abilities through the use of show not tell techniques. This study aims to improve students 'anecdotal text writing skills by applying the Show not tell technique, as well as describing the improvement in students' anecdotal text writing skills by applying the show not tell technique. The population in this study were all grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Ciasem. The research method used was a pre-experimental design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques used in this study were writing tests. The data form of this research is in the form of an assessment of learning outcomes that illustrate the skills of students in writing anecdotal texts. Data analysis of test results is done by collecting data writing anecdotal texts, correcting, determining values ​​and processing values. The results showed a significant increase in anecdotal text writing test scores with pretest and posttest. Overall pretest results of students obtained an average value of 59.09 while the overall posttest results of students scored with an average of 78.27. Thus it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of writing anecdotal texts by using show not tell technique increases.   Keywords: Writing, Anecdotal Text, Show Not Tell Technique

Aims research for increasing the activity and learning ability of students in narrative writing skills. This research method is classroom action research. Students ability to learn to write the narrative in class V in SD Negeri Cangkuang 01 with quantum writer model. Based on data obtained from result, the average value obtained that is in cycle I value obtained by learners equal to 67,52, cycle II equal to 74,87 and in cycle III is equal to 77,70. It was concluded that learning narrative writing with quantum writer model can improve the ability of students to narrative writing skills.

The background of this research is the many lower class students who have not been able to read and write correctly, for this reason, researchers are trying to improve students' reading and writing skills through image media. This research is a classroom action research on grade 2 students of SDN 002 Benai conducted in January 2020 with a total of 20 students. The instruments used were observation sheets and students' reading and writing tests. The results of the study in the first cycle, the ability of students to get an average value of 67.5% with a good category, the second cycle has increased to 81% which is included in the excellent category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the reading and writing ability of the second grade students of SDN 002 Benai can be improved through the media of images.

This study aims to improve the activities and learning result of Civics for grade IV elementary school students by using the Value Clarification technique (VCT) learning method. The research method used classroom action research (PTK) model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The research was conducted at Jamiatul Khoir Tangerang city. Data were collected through test, observation, and documentation techniques which were then analyzed through qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that there was an increase in Civics learning result as seen from the average value of Civics learning result obtained by students in the pre-cycle was 63.7 in cycle I, namely 75.4 and in cycle II, namely 86.7. Thus the application of the Value Clarification technique (VCT) method in Civics learning for grade IV elementary school students can effectively increase student activity and learning result.

AbstractLearning outcomes are a component that cannot be separated from learning and is used as a benchmark to determine the extent of the success of learning. High and low student learning outcomes are influenced by several factors, including the application of learning methods. The research method used was Quasi Experiment. The study was conducted with the object of research consisting of 2 experimental classes, namely class X-1 as experimental class 1 as many as 19 people and class X-5 as experimental class 2 as many as 19 people. The researcher applied the Learning Cycle method "5E" in the experimental class 1 (X-1) and applied the Articulation method in the experimental class 2 (X-5). The data analysis technique used is the N-Gain test and F test. The results showed that: first, there was an increase in learning outcomes of experimental class 1 students by achieving a pretest average value of 43.16 and a posttest mean score of 91.89 . This is also evidenced by the average N-Gain obtained. Experiment class 1 gets an average N-Gain of 0.86 which is included in the high category or is in the interval G> 0.70. Second, there is an increase in the learning outcomes of the experimental class 2 students by achieving a pretest average value of 42.16 and a posttest mean value of 86.11. This is also evidenced by the average N-Gain obtained. The experimental class 2 gets an average N-Gain of 0.77 which is included in the high category or is in the interval G> 0.70. Third, there are differences between the learning outcomes of students who use the Learning Cycle learning method "5E" with the learning outcomes of students who use the Articulation learning method. This is evidenced by the results of the calculation of the F test which states that the calculated value is 2.6886 and the value of the table is 2.2172. The analysis results show fcount> ftabel, so it can be said that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. AbstrakHasil belajar merupakan suatu komponen yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari pembelajaran dan dijadikan tolak ukur untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat keberhasilan belajar. Tinggi rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya adalah penerapan metode pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimen. Penelitian dilakukan dengan objek penelitian yang terdiri dari 2 kelas eksperimen, yakni kelas X-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 sebanyak 19 orang dan kelas X-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 sebanyak 19 orang. Peneliti menerapkan metode Learning Cycle “5E” pada kelas eksperimen 1 (X-1) dan menerapkan metode Artikulasi pada kelas eksperimen 2 (X-5). Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji N-Gain dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: pertama, terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen 1 dengan pencapaian nilai rata-rata Pretest 43,16 dan nilai rata-rata Posttest 91,89. Hal tersebut juga dibuktikan oleh N-Gain rata-rata yang diperoleh. Kelas eksperimen 1 mendapatkan rata-rata N-Gain 0,86 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi atau berada pada interval G>0,70.  Kedua, terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen 2 dengan pencapaian nilai rata-rata Pretest 42,16 dan nilai rata-rata Posttest 86,11. Hal tersebut juga dibuktikan oleh N-Gain rata-rata yang diperoleh. Kelas eksperimen 2 mendapatkan rata-rata N-Gain 0,77 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi atau berada pada interval G>0,70. Ketiga, terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran Learning Cycle “5E” dengan hasil belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran Artikulasi. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan uji F yang menyatakan bahwa nilai fhitung sebesar 2,6886 dan nilai ftabel sebesar 2,2172. Hasil analisis menunjukan fhitung>ftabel, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak.Kata kunci. hasil belajar; metode pembelajaran learning cycle “5E”; metode pembelajaran artikulasi.

<p class="Abstract"><strong><em>Abstract.</em></strong><em> This study aims to improve the skills of writing interview reports through Think Talk Write Learning Model for fourth grade of SD N Serengan II No. 256 Surakarta Academic year 2018/2019. The technique of collecting data uses observation, tests, interviews and documentation. Test validity of data using content validity and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique used an interactive model consisting of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing.This study is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were teachers and students, which 31 students. The results showed that the pre-action class average value of 55.65 increased to 74.35 in first cycle, increasing again to 84.44 in second cycle. The number of students in pre-action who achieved KKM was 3 students (9.68%), in the second cycle as many as 20 students (64.52%), and experienced an increase again to as many as 26 students (82.26%) in the cycle II. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that: through the Think Talk Write learning model can improve the skills of writing interview reports to fourth grade students of SD N Serengan II No. 256 Surakarta Academic Year 2018/2019.</em></p><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em>Think Talk Write learning model, writing skills, Skills for writing report on interview results, Elementary School</em>

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesulitan membaca dan menulis aksara Sunda sering dialami oleh siswa karena metode pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru kurang sesuai dengan kompetensi dasar yang diajarkan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) metode iqra dalam pembelajaran membaca aksara Sunda, (2) kemampuan awal dan akhir membaca aksara Sunda, (3) kemampuan awal dan akhir menulis aksara Sunda, dan (4) pengaruh metode iqra dalam pembelajaran membaca aksara Sunda terhadap kemampuan menulis aksara Sunda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif, sedangkan tehnik yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan dan pengolahan data yaitu tehnik tes. Sumber data dalam peneltian ini yaitu siswa kelas X SMK Pasundan Subang yang berjumlah 36 orang. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) nilai rata-rata kemampuan awal membaca aksara Sunda (40,33) dan kemampuan akhir (86,78), dan (2) nilai rata-rata kemampuan awal menulis aksara Sunda (40,78) dan kemampuan akhir  (87,22),  Peningkatan membaca dan menulis aksara Sunda juga dapat di lihat dari hasil uji hipotesis yang menunjukan X²hitung  ≤ X²tabel     -63,31  ≤  7,81 untuk  kemampuan membaca aksara Sunda, dan X²hitung  ≤ X²tabel   yaitu 22,54 ≤ 7,81 untuk kemampuan menulis aksara Sunda. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh metode iqra dalam pembelajaran membaca aksara Sunda terhadap kemampuan menulis aksara Sunda siswa SMK Pasundan Subang.                                                                                                                                  AbstractThis research is motivated by the difficulties of reading and writing Sundanese alphabet experienced by students. It is the caused by the learning method used by the teacher, which is not in accordance with the basic competencies. The purpose of this study was to describe (1) the Iqra method in learning reading Sundanese alphabet; (2) the initial and final ability of reading Sundanese alphabet; (3) the initial and final ability of writing Sundanese alphabet; and (4) the effect of the iqra method in Sundanese alphabet learning on the ability of writing Sundanese alphabet. This research used descriptive method. The data Collection and processing employed a test technique. Source of data in this research is 36 students of Grade X of SMK Pasundan Subang. The results show (1) the average value of initial ability (40.33) and the final ability (86.78) of reading Sundanese alphabet; and (2) the average initial ability (40.78) and the average final ability (87.22) of reading Sundanese alphabet. The improved ability of reading and writing Sundanese alphabet can be seen from the results of the hypothesis test. X²count ≤ X²table (-63.31 ≤ 7.81) for the ability to read Sundanese alphabet, and X²count ≤ X²table i.e. 22.54 ≤ 7,81 for the ability to write Sundanese alphabet. Based on these results, the iqra method in learning reading Sundanese alphabet gives influence on the ability of writing Sundanese alphabet in SMK Pasundan Subang.
