ABSTRACTThis article is entitled: The Effect of the Tariqah Syattariyyah Remembrance in the Formation of Santri Personality in the Ar-Ramly Islamic Boarding School Giriloyo Wukirsari Imogiri Bantul. The background of this study departs from the assumption that personality formation is not only through formal education but through the management of the heart. Through remembrance specifically able to guide a dirty and sick heart clean and healthy again. Ar-Ramly Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic boarding schools in the archipelago that has educational programs to form students who have good personalities by Islamic teachings. This study aims to reveal the effect of Tariqah Syattariyyah Remembrance in the Formation of Santri Personality in the Ar-Ramly Islamic Boarding School Giriloyo Wukirsari Imogiri Bantul. This study uses a qualitative approach using the field as an object and library source as supporting data. Data can be used using interview methods for caretakers of the Ar-Ramly Islamic Boarding School, students and the community around the cottage. The results of this study, first, under the leadership of KH. Ahmad Zabidi until now, the Tariqa Syattariyyah experienced a development starting with the bookkeeping of the practice book, the more widespread place of the daily practice of the Syattariyyah Congregation and the convening of the alumni observers of the Tariqa Syattariyyah in the Ar-Ramly Islamic Boarding School. Secondly, the implementation of the Tariqa Syattariyyah practice activities by the students of the Ar-Ramly Islamic Boarding School in forming good behavior results in a good relationship between fellow students and the surrounding community because of the realization of morals to God. The religious activities program will help the students in forming good personalities to establish harmony in mingling with the boarding school environment, family, and in the community. Keywords: Remembrance/ Zikir, Tariqa Syattariyyah, Personality  ABSTRAKArtikel ini berjudul: Pengaruh Zikir Tarekat Syattariyyah dalam Pembentukan Kepribadian Santri di Pondok Pesantren Ar-Ramly Giriloyo Wukirsari Imogiri Bantul. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari asumsi bahwa pembentukan kepribadian tidak hanya melalui pendidikan formal saja, melainkan melalui pengelolaan hati. Melalui zikir secara khusus mampu membimbing hati yang kotor dan sakit kembali bersih dan sehat. Pondok Pesantren Ar-Ramly merupakan salah satu pondok pesantren di Nusantara yang mempunyai program-program pendidikan sehingga dapat membentuk para santri memiliki kepribadian baik yang sesuai dengan ajaran-ajaran Islam. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap Pengaruh Zikir Tarekat Syattariyyah dalam Pembentukan Kepribadian Santri di Pondok Pesantren Ar-Ramly Giriloyo Wukirsari Imogiri Bantul. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan lapangan sebagai objek dan sumber pustaka sebagai pendukung data. Data di dapat menggunakan metode wawancara kepada pengasuh Pondok Pesantren Ar-Ramly, santri dan masyarakat sekitar pondok. Adapun hasil penelitian ini, pertama, di bawah kepemimpinan KH. Ahmad Zabidi sampai sekarang, Tarekat Syattariyyah mengalami perkembangan dimulai dengan adanya pembukuan kitab amalan, semakin luasnya tempat pelaksanaan amalan harian Tarekat Syattariyyah dan terselenggaranya pertemuan alumni pengamal Tarekat Syattariyyah di Pondok Pesantren Ar-Ramly. Kedua, Terlaksananya kegiatan amalan Tarekat Syattariyyah oleh para santri Pondok Pesantren Ar-Ramly dalam membentuk perilaku yang baik menghasilkan hubungan yang baik antara sesama santri dan masyarakat sekitar di karenakan terwujudnya akhlak kepada Allah. Program kegiatan keagamaan nantinya akan membantu santri dalam membentuk kepribadian baik sehingga menjalin keharmonisan dalam berbaur dengan lingkungan pondok pesantren, keluarga, maupun dalam masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Zikir, Tarekat Syattariyyah, Kepribadian

<p>This study aimed to describe the success of marketing strategies in SMA Sedes Sapientiae Jambu which is a high boarding school in Bedono, Semarang regency with its students coming from various cities in Indonesia, such as Palembang, Lampung, Jakarta, Bogor, Semarang , Yogyakarta, Bali, Makassar and Papua. The diversity of high school students Sedes Sapientiae Jambu is because<br />the success of marketing management at SMA Sedes Sapientiae Jambu Bedono, where in the executing the marketing strategy there is a special team and they did not hesitate to invite an expert in the field of marketing to teach the promotion team to do marketing. In addition, many of the activities carried out in marketing schools such as by visiting junior high schools in various regions<br />of Java and Jakarta region and made a presentation as Sedes Sapientiae Jambu students as keynote speaker, did a choir at churches, did a tty out for the junior and open house in SMA Sedes Sapientiae Jambu, besides that, establishing relationships with alumni who are in various cities in Indonesia. Data collection techniques in this research through interviews, participatory observation<br />and documentation, and data analysis performed continuously throughout the study. One of the keys of the succesful of marketing in SMA Sedes Sapientiae Jambu the activities that establish a good relationship with various secondary schools in various regions, relations with alumni, parents, committee and local residents. The evidenced of it by the increasing number of high school students in Sedes Sapientiae Jambu from year to year. In this paper the writer recommend ways of marketing carried out by SMA Sedes Sapientiae Jambu that can be applied in other schools to increase student numbers.</p>

Pesantren is Islamic education institution that still be needed by the Ummah. The study of kitab kuning is an important element of it, and this generally tends to be stagnant, for various reasons. Therefore the study of the use of kitab kuning in pesantren is urgent. This research highlights the reality of kitab kuning study in boarding school, mainly Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Ternate. This is qualitative research in which the data collection techniques are interview, observation and study of documents and literature. The analysis of the data is qualitative description. The result of this research shows that Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Ternate, which was established in 1994, includes a combination between Islamic boarding school system and formal education units in the form of schools and madrasas. Basically the santri are lodged. The boarding school students are junior and senior high school students, both male and female. The male and female campuses are separated by a distance of about 1 km. They are all participated in tahfidz Alquran and ta’līm diniyyah. The books studied in this boarding school are limited to 5 books that outlined by the Central Executive, regarding Aqidah, Fikih, Tafsir, Sirah and Arabic. The study of these books uses lecture method and the santris only gather and heed without having the book.

Purpose of the study: The study aims to explore the development of Islamic boarding school culture as the basis of actualization democracy education in Pesantren. Methodology: The study uses a qualitative approach with interviews and observations and documentation as a key research tool for data collection. As for the participation in this research is Islamic Modern Boarding School Assalaam Surakarta (PPMI Assalaam). Main Findings: This study found three main themes to actualize democracy education through the development of the culture of Pesantren, namely 1) establishing the identity of Pesantren 2) created a vision and mission of Pesantren 3) integrating essential and instrumental values of pesantren with democratic values that are compatible with Islam. Applications: This study can be useful to increase knowledge treasures and to be a prototype for the actualization of democracy education in educational institutions, especially in pesantren through the development of the democratic pesantren culture. Novelty: This study created the basis and prototype of the actualization of democracy education in the school environment and especially the pesantren, through the building of the identity of Pesantren, creating the vision and mission of Pesantren and the integration of essential values and instrumental of pesantren with the values of democracy that is compatible with Islam. Carrying out the orders of the vision, mission, and objectives of Indonesian national education shown to eliminate education discrimination, and to make students able to live in the society and system of democracy, so important step of the development of school culture as the basis of it all.

The results of this study are first, the development of vision and mission adapted to the development of science and technology while continuing to prioritize Islamic values; second, curriculum development becomes a multi triple curriculum (Ministry of Religion curriculum, Ministry of National Education curriculum, and Islamic boarding school curriculum); third, the development of learning activities which include; night-time activities, tahfidz activities, tahsin activities, language development, religious moral formation, development of local and global insightful education; fourth, the development of community service in the form of village collaboration participation, care of janazah, distribution of zakat fitrah, distribution of zakat mal, and distribution of qurban animals; fifth, the development of madrasa governance internally between students, teachers, principals, and education personnel, externally between schools and foundations and school committees; sixth, developing networking with parents of students, alumni, government agencies, universities, and other agencies, seventh; MTS YAPIKA is an integrated madrasa, the madrasa students besides getting formal education, they also get pesantren education or are said to be MTS YAPIKA  students and al-Istiqomah Islamic boarding school students. This study was aimed at discovering the levels of English-Arabic code-mixing in Islamic boarding school students’ daily conversation. This study departs from code-mixing theory in sociolinguistics. Qualitative approach was utilized as the research design. The data were in the form of word, phrase, and clause taken from utterances obtained by recording the conversations of students. From the data analysis taken from 20 situations, there were 98 utterances of code mixing, which were used by students in their conversation at Islamic boarding school covering intra- and extra-sentential code – mixing. The dominant occurrence is in word level totalling to 65 occurrences (66.4%), followed by clause level 13 occurrences (13.2%), phrase level 10 occurrences (10.2%), and sentence level 10 occurrences (10.2%). Therefore, the code – mixing did exist in students’ conversation. Even though the appearance of the code – mixing in students’ conversation was not really high but this needs to be re-examined the correct use of the code – mixing in orther to avoid the misunderstanding and miscommunication among the students and with teachers.

This research aims to describe and compare the self-adjustment of boarding school students with the school environment in terms of gender (comparative descriptive study of students at MAN Insan Cendekia Lubuk Alung, West Sumatra). This type of research is descriptive-comparative with a questionnaire instrument. The population of all students of class X, sampling with purposive random sampling technique in order to obtain a sample of 82 students. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis, and to test the differences used t test. The results showed that in general the self-adjustment of boarding school students with the school environment of MAN Insan Cendekia Lubuk Alung, West Sumatra was classified high and there was a significance difference from the self-adjustment of male and female students. Therefore, school counselors can provide various types of counseling and guidance services to students of MAN Insan Cendekia Lubuk Alung, West Sumatra so that they are able to overcome difficulties in their self-adjustment by fostering self-confidence and training students how to adapt to the new environment and atmosphere in accordance with the rules

Abstract. Everyone, especially students from the Jagad 'Alimussirry Surabaya Islamic Boarding School, is indispensable for everyone, especially the students of the' Alimussirry 'Jagad Islamic Boarding School. Tirakat is studied from the perspective of exact science, social, and psychology. Tirakat is applied to train students to improve emotional intelligence, improve the brain's working system, and increase the sense of empathy for others. This research uses a cognitive paradigm with a qualitative approach. Literature review and interview methods were used to obtain research data. Interviews were conducted with 15 students. The results of this study state that inexact science, Tirakat Asyhurul Hurum can increase concentration in learning, increase metabolism, and increase immunity. Socially, Tirakat Asyhurul Hurum can increase feelings of empathy for others and Tirakat Asyhurul Hurum. psychologically able to increase emotional intelligence in a person.

This study discusses the influence of Indonesian on Arabic conversation of Al-Manar Islamic Boarding school students. In order to help student to be able to communicate in Arabic thus bi’ah lughawiyyah is created to train students speaking Arabic in the Islamic Boarding School environment. It is aim to fulfil the demand of global era in which Arabic is not only about learing Nahwu and Sarf but also about mastering language skills. Commmunication ability in Arabic Fusha is the most important thing that must be mastered when interacting with people from middle east countries for various need. Such as education and trade. The Islamic boarding school student often face problem in practicing Arabic expression; they are very difficult to free themselves from mother tongue. This problem is also faced by others in the world, as a result the student of the Islamic boarding school often make a mistake in their Arabic speaking expression. For example some one uses “هُناَ” to call person, meanwhile the right expression is “تَعاَل”.

English vocabulary mastery in elementary school students is quite minimal. This can happen because they have not yet learned English because the lessons have been removed from the elementary school curriculum starting in 2014. The implementation team was restless and wanted to introduce English early on to students, especially at SDN 012 West Balikpapan as a form of initial recognition in order to survive and able to compete in junior high school. The method used is to provide theory and practice to the target audience. The activity of introducing English vocabulary on the theme of the school environment is carried out through face to face with the delivery of material through the lecture method followed by guidance, practice, and evaluation in understanding vocabulary with the themes of alphabets, numbers, colors and school subjects, School Things, and People in School. The results of community service activities carried out at SDN 012 West Balikpapan provide considerable benefits and are needed by students at the school. School principals, teachers, and students expect this activity to be carried out continuously through mentoring activities and forms of English language training and other lessons. Language Training is one form of non-formal education that is very important and useful for students to get to know English that still feels foreign.

Pesantren or Islamic boarding schools are religious-based educational institutions that are popular in Indonesia. Unfortunately, pesantren education patterns have not been widely studied because the pattern of education is considered different from formal education in Indonesia. Unlike pesantren, formal education only focuses on the cognitive aspects of academics and ignores the psychomotor-affective aspects. This study aimed to examine the aspects of educational philosophy that exist in the education system at the pesantren Al Falah Gorontalo and their contribution to the development of character education for middle-high school students in Indonesia. This was a philosophical research study which used the perspective of educational philosophy. A qualitative approach was employed, using the hermeneutic method, and data were collected through library research, strengthened by in-depth interviews. Interpretation, description, synthetic analysis, internal coherence, holistic, reflection, and heuristics were used. Several pedagogical aspects were found in the learning process that prevails at the Al Falah Islamic Boarding School. These are associated with the educational goals and curriculum, which involves several important streams in educational philosophy, namely essentialism, progressivism, and perennialism. The pesantren Al Falah Gorontalo also upholds several important values in the education process, including relating to religion, unity, human values, togetherness, and independence. These values can be internalized by adolescents through education and can contribute in building the character of students.
