The target number of children in early detection of child development and development in the working area of ??Puskesmas Karangrejo is 1,037 children, with details of 133 infants from 0 - 11 months and 904 children aged 12 - 72 months. Of these, the coverage for early detection until February 2020 is still low, namely at 6.7%. The purpose of the Community Service is to empower families in conducting early detection of toddler growth and development in the Karangrejo Health Center area. The method of activity is health education and empowerment of “active participation” of mothers toddler in stimulating and detecting the growth and development of their children. The result of mentoring was that there was progress in the developmental ability of 1 child who had not been able to walk at the age of 19 months, showing an increase in walking ability after 2 weeks of assistance. There was an increase in the knowledge of mothers / families about growth and development by 12.68 points. There was an increase in the frequency of implementing stimulation for child growth and development by mothers of under-five from 88.2% of mothers who had stimulated to 98.6% after mentoring. Continuity of family empowerment is needed regarding early detection of growth and development and not only involving mothers / families but also involving cadres.

This study examines the problem most basic health problem for children in Indonesia today is in their growth and development, in other words, it is a problem of stunting. The government has made various efforts to prevent stunting, one of which is specifically intervening in child nutrition. In order to support government programs, we carry out a community service activity with the aim of detecting and detecting children's nutritional development. The Banjarnegara City Government has detected that 29% of children are still affected by stunting. By involving local health workers totaling 35 cadres in these activities. In the process of implementing the activity, it is divided into 3 terms in one day, while the methods used are counseling, discussion and practice. Based on the results of the activity, the cadres experienced an increase in quality. Previously, knowledge of health cadres was only in the range of 37.14%, but after participating in the activity, there was a significant increase of 80%. Likewise, there was an increase (p = 0.000; α <0.05) since this intervention. The recommendation is that there should be activities like this on an ongoing basis and if necessary, early detection of stunting.

Kata Kunci : Kader, Peyimpangan , Stimulasi Deteksi Dini dan Intervensi Tumbuh Kembang, THE OPTIMIZATION OF TODDLERS' GROWHT AND DEVELOPMENT USING EDSGD TRAINING ON KADER AND CARE GIVER OF CHILDREN IN KASIH ORPHANAGE ABSTRACT The bright future of a country depends on its effort to optimalize children growth and development by provided proper ways to stimulate children growht and development. The need for stimulation or efforts to stimulate children to introduce new knowledge or skills is very important in improving children's intelligence. Stimulation in children can be started since the baby is a fetus, because the fetus is not a passive creature. In the womb, the fetus is able to breathe, kick, stretch, move, swallow, suck the thumb, and others. While the main stimulation is given specifically for children aged 0-7 years (Siswono, 2004). PAUD teacher's understanding and awareness of the importance and influence of parental education on child development vary. Many do not understand the characteristics of early childhood development, stimulation, and implementation of early detection of early childhood growth and development. Asih Waluyo Jati Clinic is a Pratama clinic that has a program about child development. With community service at the Asih Waluyo Jati Primary Clinic, it is expected that the knowledge and understanding of PAUD teachers on the characteristics of growth and development, simulation, and implementation of early detection of early childhood growth and development can be increased. The activity was carried out at the Pratama Asih Waluyo Jati Clinic on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 09.00 to 15.00 with material about problems of child growth and development in Indonesia, the importance of monitoring children's growth and development, the participation of teachers and parents in child development, how to detect children's growth and how to detect a child's development. The methods used in this activity include lectures, questions and answers, and role-play. Most of the participants understood what early detection and stimulation of children's growth and development were. But about the types and ways of early detection that must be done many do not understand. The participant's lack of understanding about the types and methods of early detection of children when training has not been conducted is likely because since they have never attended training and there has been no socialization from the education office related to monitoring child development. After being given the material, the participants understood that the types of early detection were detection of growth, development, and mental-emotional. Stimulation is very important as a form of intervention so that the child's growth and development can take place optimally. Keywords: early childhood, stimulation, early detection, growth, development
