Objective: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of anaemia in children aged six months to fifteen years old treated in a single centre from 2008 to 2018. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted among 274 children age six months to fifteen years old, treated in Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) from 2008 to 2018. The data was obtained from computerised hospital data (CARE2X), Laboratory Information System (LIS) or medical record. Parents of the eligible participants were called for any incomplete data and verbal consents were obtained. Descriptive analysis was conducted to determine the prevalence whereas the relationship between independent variables with types of anaemia were examined using simple logistic regression. Results: The prevalence of anaemia was 22.3%. Among the anaemic children, the predominant morphology form was hypochromic microcytic anaemia (82%) followed with normochromic normocytic anaemia (18%). Iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) was found to be the commonest cause (24%) of hypochromic microcytic anaemia, followed by IDA with concomitant thalassaemia (14%) and thalassaemia alone (8%). In simple logistic regression analysis, no significant association was found. Conclusions: The prevalence of anaemia was 22.3%, which is considered as moderate public health problem according to WHO. Hypochromic microcytic anaemia was the predominant red cell morphology (82%) and IDA was the commonest causes (24%).

Introduction We receive fast track referrals on the basis of iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) for patients with normocytic anaemia or for patients with no iron studies. This study examined the yield of colorectal cancer (CRC) among fast track patients to ascertain whether awaiting confirmation of IDA is necessary prior to performing bowel investigations. Methods A review was undertaken of 321 and 930 consecutive fast track referrals from Centre A and Centre B respectively. Contingency tables were analysed using Fisher’s exact test. Logistic regression analyses were performed to investigate significant predictors of CRC. Results Overall, 229 patients were included from Centre A and 689 from Centre B. The odds ratio for microcytic anaemia versus normocytic anaemia in the outcome of CRC was 1.3 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.5–3.9) for Centre A and 1.6 (95% CI: 0.8–3.3) for Centre B. In a logistic regression analysis (Centre B only), no significant difference in CRC rates was seen between microcytic and normocytic anaemia (adjusted odds ratio: 1.9, 95% CI: 0.9–3.9). There was no statistically significant difference in the yield of CRC between microcytic and normocytic anaemia (p=0.515, Fisher’s exact test) in patients with anaemia only and no colorectal symptoms. Finally, CRC cases were seen in both microcytic and normocytic groups with or without low ferritin. Conclusions There is no significant difference in the yield of CRC between fast track patients with microcytic and normocytic anaemia. This study provides insufficient evidence to support awaiting confirmation of IDA in fast track patients with normocytic anaemia prior to requesting bowel investigations.

In order to predict the factors which affect the occurrence of dental caries in children after the age 18-months, we analyzed the relationship between the increment of the decayed, missing, and filled teeth (dmft) in children from 18-months to three-years of age and caries risk factors. Subjects were 392 infants who received both an 18-month-old check-up and a three-year-old check-up in Chiba city. Stepwise multiple logistic regression analyses were used to analyze the results with the increment of the dmft by various combinations of independent variables (sex, order of birth, sweets intake, beverage intake, tooth brushing and feeding). The most predictive factors for the increment of the dmft in upper anterior and molar were “breast feeding” and “bottle feeding” respectively. From these results, we concluded that bottle feeding and breast feeding were the risk factors for the increment of the dmft from the age of 18-months to three years.

This research was carried out in order to determine the factors which are effective in determining the hazelnut producers' decision to have agricultural insurance in all the districts of Duzce province, where hazelnut production is widespread. At total of 319 farmers selected by simple random sampling method, 96 of which had agricultural insurance and 223 of which didn't have agricultural insurance, there interviewed by face-to-face in 2016. Logistic regression method was used in the statistical analysis related to the results obtained from the questionnaire. In the study, a model was set up that can best comply with as few variables as possible in order to identify the relationship between dependent and independent variables. In the model, independent variables are individual characteristics, business characteristics, information sources and approaches to agricultural insurance. As a result of logistic regression analysis for 15 variables with statistically significant results: household, monthly income, hazelnut land, share holders, natural disasters, grant, insurance information and education are the most important factors that are effective in making agricultural insurance.

Regression analysis is a metodh for investigating the relationship between the dependent variable (Y) and independent variables (X). Logistic regression is a regression model that used related to the qualitative Dependent variable. If the Logistic regression influenced by factors of the location of each point from observation where the data is collected, it will be a Geographically Weighted Logistic Regression (GWLR). In the case of insecurity rate model of dengue fever has two or more categories, so that this case can be resolved by GWLR. This research aims to clarify the procedure of testing the parameters GWLR model and form insecurity rate model of dengue fever with GWLR method in Banjar Regency. Dependent variable with catagoric is Insecurity rate of dengue fever ( ) and independent variables is the population density ( ), the distance from the capital of the subdistrict to capital of regency ( ), fogging per subdistrict ( ), the percentage of households living clean and healthy ( ), pesentase healthy homes ( ), the percentage of access to decent sanitation ( ). The results from this research are estimate parameters using Maximum Likelihood Estimation method and presented in the form of thematic map that shows not all dependent variables give influence on Insecurity rate dengue fever

The purpose of an analysis using this method is the same as that of any technique in constructing models in statistics, namely to find the best and most reasonable model to describe the relationship between a result variable and a set of variables independent. We are interested in how the costs affect them and if a customer has a travel card. Credit card customers are shown to be 6 times more likely to use it regardless of the cost they make.It is also shown that a customer is more likely to use a travel card when costs increase Through logistic regression, which gives the probability that a result is an exponential function of the independent variables, we will see how through our data we will come to very important conclusions.

The purpose of this study is to determine the drivers of social entrepreneurship in a developing country. Institutional theory is applied to check the impact of different institutions on social entrepreneurship intentions in Pakistan. For this purpose, three independent variables: coercive environment, normative environment, and cognitive environment have been used, and the dependent variable is social entrepreneurship intention. Perceived feasibility has been taken as a mediating variable. A sample of 357 is selected, and data has been collected through questionnaires surveys from different university students of Pakistan. Data analysis is done through descriptive analysis. Nvivo 20 is used to explore the future paradigms of social entrepreneurship in Pakistan. The results of his study indicated that cognitive environment and perceived feasibility have direct and significant relation with social entrepreneurship intentions, perceived feasibility doesn't mediate the relationship between dependent and independent variables.
