It gives an effect to the learning result which is not satisfied yet. One of the assessment which develops the meaningful learning is map concept. The aim of the research is to analysis accomplished learning, map concept quality which is arranged by the students, the developing of cognitive structure and critical thinking, the relationship between map concept quality which is arranged by the students and the developing of cognitive structure and critical thinking. The research is a quasi experiment with Randomized Pretest Post Test Control Group Design. The research population is all the 9th grader students in SMPN 1 Karangkancana Kuningan in academic year 2015/2016. The number of the students is 116. The sample of the research is taken by Simple Random Technique, 58 students. The achievement of research result is (1) The accomplished of learning is categorized good, every stage of learning in accordance with the planning but still found obstacles. (2) The map quality concept which is categorized fair and bad, and no category of high , which is designed learning has not been able to facilitate students in the achievement of the four components of the concept maps perfectly. (3) There is a significant progress in structure cognitive and students critical thinking is categorized fair, students are not familiar with the of learning that develops the cognitive structure and critical thinking. (4) There is a positive correlation between map concept quality and students critical thinking which is categorized strong, and there is linearity unidirectional nature, every increase in the quality of concept maps followed by an increase in critical thinking. (5) The student positive is categorized almost all, students are very enthusiastic and very active in learning activities. It can be concluded that map concept assessment can develop cognitive structure and students critical thinking, also, there is a significant relationship between map quality concept and students critical thinkingKeywords : Concept Map Assessment; Cognitive Structure; Critical Thinking;Problem Based Learning

Class VIII2 consisted of 25 students was chosen as experimental group and class VIII4 consisted of 24 students was chosen as control group. This research was conducted in three phrases; there were pre-test, treatments and post-test. The data collection technique used in this research was test. The tests were pre-test and post-test. The researcher gave pre-test before giving treatment and post-test after giving treatment. The treatment was conducted in three meetings. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. The research result and the hypothesis authentication found by using t-test formula in significant level 5% or α = 0.05 were obtained that ttest > ttable. The ttest found in this research was 3.91. Meanwhile, ttable was gotten from the list of distribution value with degree of freedom = 47, because the data not in the table, the researcher used interpolation approach and obtained = 1.67. So > = 3.91 > 1.67. It meant that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. So, graphic organizer strategy significantly affects the students’ ability in mastering writing. Kata Kunci: graphic organizer strategy, teaching and learning, writing narrative paragraph

The purpose of this study is to obtain a profile of students’ creative thinking skills on quantitative project-based protein testing using local materials. Implementation of the research is using quasi-experimental method pre-test post-test control group design with 40 students involved in Biochemistry lab. The research instrument is pre-test and post-test using creative thinking skills in the form of description and students’ questionnaire. The analysis was performed with SPSS 22.0 program to see the significance normality, U Mann-Whitney test for nonparametric statistics, N-Gain score, and the percentage of student responses to the practicum performed. The research result shows that the pretest rate in the experimental group is 8.25 while in the control group is 6.90. After attending a project-based practicum with local materials, the experimental group obtained the mean of posttest is 37.55 while in control class is 11.18. The students’ improvement on creative thinking skills can be seen from the average of N-Gain in the experimental class with 0.32 (medium category) and in the control category with 0.05 (low category). The experimental and control class have different creative thinking skills significantly different fluency, flexibility, novelty, and detail. It can be concluded that quantitative project-based protein testing using local materials can improve students’ creative thinking skills. 71% of total students feel that quantitative project-based protein testing using local materials make them more creative in doing a practicum in the laboratory.
