Risk Behaviour and Youth Resilience-Based on Demographic Profile

Youth who has the ability to adapt and survive in difficult times have a high level of resilience. This study aims to look at the dominant Behavior of adolescents currently and the youth resilience based on gender, types of school, and school major. The sample in this study was 264 high school teenagers in Indonesia. This study used a quantitative method with two design which is a cross-sectional survey and comparative studies. The results showed some of the most risk behaviors seen by students were smoking (84.09%), fighting parents (68.49%), skipping school (60.23%), fighting teachers and school principals (55.68%), and fighting between students (54.17%). The risk behaviors that were rarely seen by teenage students were drugs (5.68%), free sex (4.55%). Stealing (43.18%) and excessive drinking (41.67%) have moderate popularity. Also, there was no significant difference in resilience-based on gender, type of school, and school major. These studies provide an overview of schools of the importance of the availability of Counseling Guidance teachers in providing guidance services and resilience materials.

University Student's Perception of Jeremiah in New Normal Era: The controversy of Jeremiah's Calling as A Prophet

This article describes how a great prophet, Jeremiah, who was chosen by God, worked among the Israelites who were living in exile. During his ministry, he received a lot of criticism from other prophets; there was a conflict in the news. In writing this article, a constructive theological approach was carried out for students in understanding the differences in the teachings conveyed by Jeremiah and the other prophets. This approach will explain how the content of Jeremiah's teaching is a message of peace that can be received by the Israelites as immigrants in a foreign land. How do students, as newcomers to a new place, adapt to the new context and lifestyle to feel peace?

Analyzing the Readiness of Junior High School Educators In the Online Learning Implementation During Covid-19: An Interview Study

This research has the purpose of finding out the ReadinessReadiness of junior high school teachers in the online learning, and efforts which are carried out as well as obstacles that are dealt with in the online learning implementation at the time of Covid-19 pandemic. The kind of research which is used is qualitative-descriptive, with the interview technique. The result of the research shows that the junior high school educators enthusiastically respond the online learning by preparing the online learning devices and promoting the change of learning system to the students, and the online learning system is executed by utilizing applications, such as short message service, Whatsapp group, Zoom, phone, or live chat. The result of this research shows that junior high school teachers are ready to implement online learning in spite of not being optimal and dealing with various obstacles.

Love Your Enemy: A Christian Response to Embrace Others

This article addresses the issue of conflict between religious communities that cause enmity amid society. Hostilities must be overcome and resolved in accordance with the call of Christianity to live in love and peace. The study used the qualitative paradigm as the method of the research and the descriptive-analyses as the writing method by describing the research problems based on data collected from related publications.One of the powerful messages of Jesus's teaching is "Love your enemies." It’s one of the greatest challenges in life. Jesus Christ gave an important doctrine about loving the enemy because love is more powerful than evil, hurtful deeds. Loving the enemy means canceling hostilities and violence, but instead, it promises acceptance of each other. The title of this study is "love your enemies": A Christian Response to Embrace Others. As the title of this study is "love your enemies," the reason for the selection of this article is because the author sees that "loving the enemy is a commandment from God that must be obeyed. This research question emphasizes how to realize "loving the enemy" amid hostility. This paper argues that Jesus's command to love the enemy is a proper Christian lifestyle choice in the midst of hostility. We use CS Song thoughts, which elaborated with other scholars' views on theology, loving, and embracing others. The purpose of the research was to gain understanding and build a theological reflection on Jesus' commandment to love the enemy. In this article, we first briefly discuss the portrait of life among religious people in Indonesia. Secondly, we discuss the conflict between religious people in Indonesia. Finally, we apply the command of Jesus to love our enemy as a Christian lifestyle in the midst of hostility to construct harmony amid hostility. We propose the command of Jesus to ‘love your enemy’ as a response to establishing sustainable peace by embrace others. Finally, the Christians must become a loving community because God so loved us, and we also ought to love and embrace others.

Information Technology In A New Normal Era

Various efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 have been carried out, which resulted in the formation of a new normal life order for the community. Some of the adjustments include doing all activities from home, always washing hands, wearing a mask, and keeping a distance. New normal is also closely related to Information Technology (IT), where some activities are carried out through information technology assistance. Work From Home (WFH), online learning, online health consultations, and wedding receptions are conducted through a virtual room. However, in fact, there are still many who have not mastered and understood this, so this research explains the role of information technology, which is so important and quite influential in the fields of economy and business, education, health, religion, and the Internet of Things which is the core of current information technology.

Development Ethics Of Sunday School Children Through The Teaching Creativity Of Teacher

There are 4 main points to be addressed clearly in abstract section: (1) background of research title, (2) research purpose, (3) research methodology, and (4) research result/contribution. Background section should be the shortest part of the abstract and should very briefly outline the following information: What is already known about the subject, related to the paper in question? What is not known about the subject and hence what the study intended to examine (or what the paper seeks to present - purpose). In most cases, the background can be framed in just 2–3 sentences, with each sentence describing a different aspect of the information referred to above. The purpose of the research, as the word itself indicates, is to provide the reader with a background to the study, and hence to smoothly lead into a description of the methods employed in the investigation. The methodology section is usually the second-longest section in the abstract. It should contain enough information to enable the reader to understand what was done, and important questions to which the methods section should provide brief answers. The results section is the most important part of the abstract and nothing should compromise its range and quality. The results section should therefore be the longest part of the abstract and should contain as much detail about the findings as the journal word count permits.

Evaluation Of User Satisfaction Towards New Student Admission Website Quality

This study aims to evaluate the quality of the IAKN Tarutung PMB website using the WebQual approach. The population in this study were users of the IAKN Tarutung PMB website, where the total sample was 201 respondents by using purposive sampling Webqual 4.0. Webqual 4.0 consists of 4 variables, namely Usability, Information Quality, Service Interaction Quality, and Overall. The research method used is a survey with a questionnaire based on Webqual 4.0. The results of the validity and reliability tests show that all questionnaire items are valid and reliable because they meet the requirements. The results of multiple correlation analysis also indicate a strong relationship between the independent and dependent variables in this study. Moreover, based on the data analysis that Webqual can be used to analyze the quality of several websites, both internal (intranet) and external websites. So the conclusion is usability, information quality, and service interaction is jointly influence user satisfaction.

Students’ Perception Of Online Learning Amidst Pandemic Covid 19: A Study Of Junior-Senior High School And College Student In Remote Area

Online learning during the Covid 19 pandemic has developed very rapidly, but it cannot be separated from various challenges. Online learning that aims to streamline learning does not get a positive response from all students. This article aims to identify and report students' perceptions about the effectiveness of online learning amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic. In this study, data were obtained through a questionnaire consisting of 20 items were distributed to 30 respondents representatives of the three levels of education. The results of the survey were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods and percentages. The results showed that online learning was considered less effective by students. Thus the teacher is expected to need to evaluate how to teach and re-design models and approaches to be applied in learning by adjusting to the current situation of students to generate interest and willingness to learn online.

Development Of Adaptive, Spritual, Academic And Social (ASAS) Programs In Revitalizing Social Interactions Of Students

If the diversity of a community is not managed properly, it will cause various problems that can lead to disharmony in the interaction patterns in that community. The diversity of students of the Faculty of Social Science and Christian Humaniora (FISHK) of IAKN Tarutung leads to a tendency to cause grouping and even create competition, which greatly affects the patterns of interactions among students. The purpose of this research is to develop the ASAS programs in revitalizing the social interaction patterns of students of the Faculty of Social Science and Christian Humaniora (FISHK) of IAKN Tarutung. This research method uses a quantitative description, which aims to explain events that are described in the form of Figures containing useful numbers. The four indicators for the Adaptive Program (A) show that 31.13% of respondents strongly agree to hold adaptive programs, 61.13% of respondents agree, 6.78% disagree, and 0.88% of respondents strongly disagree. The seven indicators for the Spiritual Program (S) show that 38.14% of respondents strongly agree to hold spiritual activities, 56.71% of respondents agree, 5.14% of respondents disagree, and no one strongly disagrees. The five indicators for the Academic Program (A) show that 29.4% of respondents strongly agree to hold an academic program, 61.6% of the respondents agree, 8.4% of respondents disagree, and 0.6% of the respondents strongly disagree. The four indicators for the Spiritual Program (S) show that 30.75% of respondents strongly agree to hold social activities, 60% of the respondents agree, 8.75% of respondents disagree, and less than one percent (0.5%) of respondents strongly disagree. From all the indicators in the ASAS program that have been implemented, it can be concluded that the ASAS (Adaptive, Spiritual, Academic and Social) programs can be as solutions in revitalizing interaction patterns among students and those can become references for readers or others in overcoming disharmony issues in a community.

Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on IAKN Tarutung Students

This study aims to reveal the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on IAKN Tarutung students. An online survey was conducted in August 2020 to collect the information using Google Form. A total of 182 students provided complete information regarding the survey. The study finds that the main problem faced by students is costs for buying internet data, poor internet quality, and students not able to understand the learning materials delivered through online learning.
