ABSTRAKSI: Artikel ini, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode biografi, mengkaji tentang keberhasilan seorang Kepala Sekolah. Hasil kajian menunjukan bahwa Haji Ajat, atau nama lengkapnya Drs. H. (Doktorandus Haji) Ajat Sudrajat, M.M.Pd. (Magister Manajemen Pendidikan), adalah kisah sukses seorang Kepala Sekolah di Kabupaten Kuningan, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Lebih dari 20 tahun, Haji Ajat menjadi Kepala Sekolah di SMAN (Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri) yang berbeda-beda. Pada mulanya, Haji Ajat ditugaskan memimpin SMAN Ciniru, sekolah yang jaraknya jauh dari Kuningan Kota; kemudian beliau berpindah ke SMAN Mandirancan, sebuah sekolah di tengah sawah dan di daerah pinggiran; lalu beliau berpindah untuk memimpin SMAN Cilimus, sekolah yang dekat Kota Kuningan; dan beliau berpindah lagi ke SMAN Luragung, sekolah yang dekat dengan daerah Jawa Tengah. Terakhir, Haji Ajat memimpin SMAN III Kuningan, yang berada di tengah Kota Kuningan. Semua sekolah yang dipimpin oleh Haji Ajat selalu berprestasi dalam bidang akademik dan, terutama, sekolah yang ramah lingkungan. Kepala sekolah yang berkarakter dan sukses perlu menjadi teladan bagi siapa pun yang ingin memimpin lembaga pendidikan.KATA KUNCI: Kepala Sekolah; Sekolah Ramah Lingkungan; Sekolah Berkualitas. ABSTRACT: “Become a Character Teacher: Exemplify the Leadership of Drs. H. Ajat Sudrajat, M.M.Pd. in Building a Quality School”. This article, using a qualitative approach and biographical method, examines the success of a Principal. The results of the study show that Haji Ajat, or its full name is Drs. H. (Doktorandus Haji) Ajat Sudrajat, M.M.Pd. (Master of Education Management), is success story of a Principal in Kuningan District, West Java, Indonesia. More than 20 years, Haji Ajat has dedicated to be a Principal in a different SMANs (Public Senior High Schools). At first, Haji Ajat was assigned to lead the SMAN at Ciniru, a school that was far from Kuningan City; then he moved to SMAN at Mandirancan, a school in the middle of rice fields and on the outskirts; then he moved to lead the SMAN at Cilimus, a school near Kuningan City; and he moved again to SMAN at Luragung, a school near to Central Java area. Finally, Haji Ajat leads the SMAN III Kuningan, which is in the center of Kuningan City. All schools led by Haji Ajat always succeed in the academic field and, especially, schools that are environmental friendly. This research aimed to describe the implementation of the curriculum "Faith before Qur'an and Manners before Knowledge" on Children at an early age and to find out whether “learning through play” is implemented in Kuttab Al-Fatih. This research is field research with a qualitative approach. The data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentations, then analyzed and presented through descriptive techniques. The result shows that Kuttab integrates the internal curriculum with thematic learning of K13 of Early Childhood Education. The curriculum of Kuttab is supported by parents' participation. In the implementation of curriculum, faith and manners are firstly built when children enroll in kuttab and continuously strengthened during the learning process. Faith is built through stories and based on the method of delivering verses in the Qur'an. "Manners before Knowledge" is implemented through manners of education management, educating teachers as role models of manners, and preparation of student's manners before learning. The concept of "learning through play" is not implemented in Kuttab because learning has its manners.

A case study in manufacturing giant attempts to capture how potential effectiveness of a role is psychologically tuned along ten dimensions on which efficacy of an employee is defined. Further, how position, age and tenure of employment interact with role efficacy. A combination of quantitative and qualitative approach is followed, where n=28. Managers are seen as leaders and act like role models for the subordinates. Further, managers are high on helping relationship. Both see an opportunity for personal growth in their role. Self- role integration is lesser in managers than subordinates. Subordinates are found to be more reactive. Confrontation is greater for subordinates than managers. Elders are strong on dimensions common to achievers and youngest seems to have politics. Longer tenures exhibits more helping attitude and more confrontation than with smaller tenures. Thus, the dynamism between position, age and tenure seems to have an effect on role-efficacy.

<p>This research began from the emergence of character problems or character crisis by shifting the students’ ethics values in the school. Where the students don’t respect teachers and friends, there is brawl among students, even violence occurs in the classroom, this is a threat of disintegration of the nation. The formulation of the problem is how the strengthening strategy of character education. The purpose of this research is to know the strengthening strategy of character education in the school, related to implementation, monitoring evaluation, supporting factors, obstacles and obtained result. The research method used qualitative approach on natural subject or natural setting, by using observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation, data analysis techniques through data reduction, verification and took a conclusions of processed data. The research was held at SMK 45 and SMK IT NU Saguling, West Bandung. The result of this study. Students become intent on strengthening the character education activities, responsive to social activities in the society, although not all students can implement it yet. The level of discipline is good because students feel shy if they aren’t disciplined, the result of the shame cultural, some students who used to come late to be in time even though not all students feel ashamed when coming late. The supporting factors the implementation of the strengthening of character education in the schools is a good strategy from the principal, the committee and a team of the parent class of students. The Obstacle factors, the shame culture is not held in the school yet, not all teachers become a role models in the schools who give good examples for students. Not all teacher become a strong and intelligent character. So that the presence of educators is as a key actor in the learning process, a professional and have a strong and intelligent character must really have atmosphere in the school, because through educators who have strong and intelligent character will create human resources which is a reflection of a nation that has strong and intelligent character, and virtuous morals.</p><p>Penelitian ini berawal dari munculnya permasalahan karakter atau krisis karakter dengan menggeser nilai-nilai etika siswa di sekolah. Dimana siswa tidak menghargai guru dan teman, terjadi tawuran antar siswa, bahkan terjadi kekerasan di dalam kelas, ini menjadi ancaman disintegrasi bangsa. Rumusan masalah adalah bagaimana strategi penguatan pendidikan karakter. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah terkait dengan pelaksanaan, evaluasi monitoring, faktor pendukung, kendala dan hasil yang diperoleh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pendekatan kualitatif pada subjek alam atau setting alam, dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, teknik analisis data melalui reduksi data, verifikasi dan pengambilan kesimpulan dari data olahan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMK 45 dan SMK IT NU Saguling, Bandung Barat. Hasil penelitian ini. Siswa berkeinginan kuat untuk memperkuat kegiatan pendidikan karakter, tanggap terhadap kegiatan sosial di masyarakat, meskipun belum semua siswa dapat melaksanakannya. Tingkat kedisiplinannya baik karena siswa merasa malu jika tidak didisiplinkan akibat adanya budaya malu, sebagian siswa yang dulunya terlambat datang tepat waktu padahal tidak semua siswa merasa malu jika datang terlambat. Faktor pendukung pelaksanaan penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah adalah strategi yang baik dari kepala sekolah, komite dan tim kelas orang tua siswa. Faktor penghambatnya, belum adanya budaya malu di sekolah, belum semua guru menjadi panutan di sekolah yang memberikan keteladanan yang baik bagi siswa. Tidak semua guru menjadi karakter yang kuat dan cerdas. Sehingga keberadaan pendidik sebagai aktor kunci dalam proses pembelajaran, seorang yang profesional dan berkarakter kuat dan cerdas haruslah benar-benar memiliki atmosfir di sekolah, karena melalui pendidik yang berkarakter kuat dan cerdas akan tercipta sumber daya manusia yang merupakan cerminan. bangsa yang memiliki karakter kuat dan cerdas, serta berakhlak mulia.</p>

The condition of a child who does not have parents or a guide in life will be difficult to develop and grow well. It takes the right place for children to study together regardless of race, economy, and other problems. A place that becomes a home for children to learn and play together with the right people and understand very well about children's problems. Even parents always hope that their children can grow up to be children who have good and healthy personalities. But of course parents themselves are not perfect creatures who can teach it all. Because humans have their own skills and talents. Respectively Even having parents, there is no guarantee that parents really understand the child's condition. Very often parents do not understand or even pay less attention which of course affects the child's growth and development. Because humans naturally need other people to be role models or examples in their life. One solution that can address this problem is by designing a halfway house for street children that has appropriate facilities for child development, is environmentally friendly, and is located close to where street children are. Street children generally earn money on streets close to public transportation locations. some street children have been handled by an orphanage. However, the facilities and the number of orphanages are not proportional to the number of street children. So that not all street children can be handled properly. Designs are made not only for theoretical learning but also for developing other types of children's intelligence. The process of form and space is made according to the needs that will be needed by children in terms of health, hobby distribution, social interaction, and education. So that children can feel learning is not just a theory but can also be channeled into other forms of activity. Keywords: develop and grow well; house for street children; personalitites AbstrakKondisi anak yang tidak memiliki orangtua maupun penuntun dalam hidupnya akan sulit untuk berkembang dan tumbuh dengan baik. Diperlukan tempat yang tepat untuk anak dapat belajar bersama tanpa memandang ras, ekonomi, dan masalah lainnya. Tempat yang menjadi rumah untuk anak belajar dan bermain bersama dengan orang yang tepat dan paham betul tentang persoalan anak.  Orangtua sekalipun selalu berharap anaknya dapat tumbuh menjadi anak yang memiliki kepribadian baik dan sehat. Tetapi tentunya orangtua sendiri bukan mahkluk sempuran yang dapat mengajarkan itu semua. Karena manusia memiliki keahlian dan bakat masing – masing. Bahkan memiliki orangtua sekalipun tidak ada jaminan orangtua mengerti betul tentang kondisi anak. Sering sekali orangtua kurang memahami atau bahkan kurang memberikan perhatian yang tentu saja berpengaruh terhadap tumbuh kembang anak. Karena sewajarnya manusia memerlukan orang lain untuk menjadi panutan atau contoh dalam hidupnya. Salah satu solusi yang dapat menangani masalah tersebut dengan merancang rumah singgah untuk anak jalanan yang memiliki fasilitas yang sesuai untuk perkembangan anak ,ramah lingkungaan, serta letaknya dekat dengan dimana anak jalanan berada. Anak jalanan pada umumnya mencari uang dijalan berdekatan dengan lokasi transpotasi umum. beberapa anak jalanan sudah di tangani oleh panti asuhan. Akan tetapi, fasilitas serta jumlah panti asuhan tidak sebanding dengan jumlah anak jalanan. Sehingga tidak semua anak jalanan dapat tertangani dengan baik. Rancangan dibuat tidak hanya untuk belajar secara teori melainkan mengembangkan jenis kecerdasaaan anak lainnya. Proses bentuk dan ruang dibuat menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan yang  akan dibutuhkan anak dari segi kesehatan, penyaluran hobi, interaksi sosial, dan edukasi.  Sehingga anak dapat merasakan belajar tidak hanya sekedar teori akan tetapi juga dapat disalurkan dalam bentuk aktivitas lainnya.

This study aims to determine university student’s commitment in completing studies in the department Christian education management at IAKN Tarutung. Participants involved were studying at the third semester. Data were collected through a qualitative approach including from interview, documents, and open questionnaires. The results showed; First, students have commitment completing their studies although they were disappointed when they learned that their graduation was not in accordance with their first choice, but due to parents' advice and motivation, the socialization process and learning from lecturers, the motivation of classmates, student involvement in various campus activities, students increasingly love their study programs. Second, there is no significant difference between students who purely choose Christian education management study programs and students who graduate based on second choice and transition from other study programs. The results of this study indicate that intellectual desires and abilities are not the main keys in completing studies but because of hard work, and strong commitment (strong determination).BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komitmen mahasiswa Prodi Manajemen Pendidikan Kristen dalam menyelesaikan studi di IAKN Tarutung. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester tiga Prodi Manajemen Pendidikan Kristen. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui pendekatan kualitatif  dengan metode wawancara, dokumen dan angket terbuka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; pertama, mahasiswa berkomitmen untuk menyelesaikan studinya di IAKN Tarutung walaupun pada awalnya merasa  kecewa ketika mengetahui kelulusannya tidak sesuai dengan pilihan pertamanya,  namun  karena faktor nasehat  dan motivasi orangtua,  proses sosilaisasi dan pembelajaran dari dosen, motivasi teman kuliah, keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam berbagai kegiatan kampus, mahasiswa semakin mencintai prodinya, Kedua, tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara mahasiswa yang murni memilih prodi manajemen pendidikan kristen dengan mahasiswa yang lulus berdasarkan pilihan kedua dan peralihan dari prodi lain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keinginan dan kemampuan intelektual tidak menjadi kunci utama dalam menyelesaikan studi tetapi oleh karena kerja keras, dan komitmen  yang kuat (tekat yang kuat).Keywords: Commitment, Students, Completing Studies

This article specifically discusses the participation of local communities in tourism development in Karimunjawa National Park, which is administratively a part of Jepara Regency, Central Java Province. This research uses a qualitative approach, the research findings show that the participation of local communities in Karimunjawa is realized through the formation of the Tourism Local Transportation Association, the Lodging Association, the Tourism Ship Association, the Culinary Association, and the Tour Guides Association which are members of the Indonesian Tour Guides Association. also encouraged to offer local Karimunjawa superior products in the form of food, beverages, and handicraft products to tourists visiting Karimunjawa to support the economic development and empowerment of the Karimunjawa community.

This study aims to find out the strategies implemented by the principal in order to improve the quality of tahfizh education in SD PTQ Annida Salatiga. This study is a field study with a qualitative approach. The location of this study is in SD PTQ Annida Salatiga, Central Java. Data collection techniques are through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study include the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. There are 3 aspects that are targeted from improving the quality of tahfizh education. First, the improvement of the quality of human resources in this case is reserved for teachers who support the tahfizh program. This improvement in the quality of human resources is implemented through teacher self-training, learning supervision, lesson study and peer assessment, as well as the construction of recitations. Second, the implementation of standard operating procedures (POS) implemented by tahfizh teachers in teaching. Third, improve communication and good cooperation with parents.

With the inception of high voltage (HV), requisites on the insulating permanence of HV equipment is becoming increasingly crucial. Mineral/synthetic oil liquid insulation—together with solid insulation materials (paper, pressboard)—is the fundamental insulation constituent in HV apparatuses; their insulation attributes perform a substantial part in a reliable and steady performance. Meanwhile, implications on the environment, scarcity of petroleum oil supplies and discarding complications with waste oil have stimulated investigators to steer their attention towards sustainable, renewable, biodegradable and environmentally friendly insulating substances. The contemporary insulating constituent’s evolution is driven by numerous dynamics—in particular, environmental obligations and other security and economic issues. Consequently, HV equipment manufacturers must address novel specifications concerning to these new standards. Renewable, sustainable and environmentally friendly insulating materials are continuously substituting conventional insulating items in the market place. These are favorable to traditional insulating materials, due to their superior functionality. The also offer explicit security and eco-friendly advantages. This article discusses cutting-edge technology of environmentally friendly insulating materials, including their fabrication, processing and characterization. The new renewable, insulating systems used in HV equipment are submitted and their fundamental gains stated in comparison with conventional insulating materials. Several experimental efforts carried out in various parts of the world are presented, offering an outline of the existing research conducted on renewable insulating systems. The significance of this article lies in summarizing prior investigations, classifying research essence, inducements and predicting forthcoming research trends. Furthermore, opportunities and constraints being experienced in the field of exploration are evidently reported. Last but not least, imminent research proposals and applications are recommended.

Practical wisdom is a key concept in the field of virtue ethics, and it has played a significant role in the thinking of those who make use of virtue when theorising medical practice and ethics. In this article, we examine how storytelling and practical wisdom play integral roles in the medical ethics education of junior doctors. Using a qualitative approach, we conducted 46 interviews with a cohort of junior doctors to explore the role doctors feel phronesis has in their medical ethics practice and how they acquire practical wisdom through storytelling as an essential part of their medical ethics education. Through thematic analysis of the interviews, we discuss the key role storytelling about moral exemplars and role models plays in developing medical ethics education, and how telling stories about role models is considered to be one of the most useful ways to learn medical ethics. We finish by developing an argument for why practical wisdom should be an important part of medical ethics training, focusing on the important role that phronesis narratives should have in teaching medical ethics.

This research develops a model of characteristic training and character education management to produce academic, profession, and vocational (potential teacher and teacher) teachers who have superior competence in disseminating noble character of the nation. By using Researh & Development approach, this research uses Padepokan Character locus PPKn FIS Unnes Department. The subjects of the study were the newly graduated Unnes students, the young teachers in Semarang City and Central Java Province. The factual model of training management and the development of character education that runs so far contains weaknesses in various aspects, from planning, implementation, to evaluation of activities. On the basis of the analysis of a number of weaknesses of the factual model is then carried out the reconstruction of the conceptual model departs from the review of ethical factors and emotic factors. Conceptual model is then refined again by accommodating the results of focus group discussion with the stake holders and utilize the potential and resources owned by the character padepokan Unnes Political Education and Citizenship. This model has incorporated various aspects of the training, from the refinement of the factual model greed, the consideration of ethical factors and the emotional factors, as well as the aspirations and needs of the stake holders, so it is feasible to experiment in the wider domain.
