Abstract This theological socio-ethical study intends to highlight the state of social morality of Christians in Alak District, Kupang - East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The problem that arises is that Christians in Alak tend to become perpetrators of crime in society. This condition is really ironic because Christians are the majority there, so the they can’t be role models for people around. With a qualitative approach it is found that social life of Christians who live in Alak are people who are able to adapt to the surrounding environment, by applying social values ​​that generally apply within Alak community groups, such as tolerance, mutual cooperation, mutual respect, guarding, and so on. Furthermore, when viewed from an ethical theological perspective, it is found that in the midst of a society that lives in harmony, there has been an increase in social crime rates especially in Alak and the majority of perpetrators of social crimes are members of the church. This proves that not a few Christians in Alak experience "moral deficiency." Moral deficiencies / defects are conditions of individuals whose lives are delinquent, often commit crimes, behave asocially, or are anti-social. He does not experience organic deviations in the functioning of his intellect, only his intellect does not function, resulting in a chronic moral freeze.   Keywords: sociology; christian ethics; interaction; morality; christianity   Abstrak Kajian sosio – etis teologis ini hendak menyoroti keadaan moralitas sosial umat Kristen yang berada di Kecamatan Alak, Kupang – Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Persoalan yang muncul adalah orang-orang Kristen di Alak cenderung menjadi pelaku kejahatan di dalam masyarakat. Kondisi ini sungguh ironis sebab orang-orang Kristen adalah mayoritas di sana, sehingga peran sebagai teladan bagi orang-orang sekitar tidak dapat terlaksana. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif didapatkan bahwa secara kehidupan bersosial, umat Kristen yang berdomisili di Alak adalah masyarakat yang mampu untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sekitar, dengan menerapkan nilai-nilai sosial yang secara umum berlaku di dalam kelompok masyarakat Alak, seperti nilai toleransi, gotong royong, saling menghargai, menjaga, dan lain sebagainya. Selanjutnya, jika dilihat berdasarkan perspektif etis teologis, maka ditemukan bahwa di tengah-tengah masyarakat yang hidup di dalam kerukunan, terjadi peningkatan angka kejahatan sosial khususnya di Alak dan mayoritas pelaku tindak kejahatan sosial ialah anggota gereja. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa tidak sedikit umat Kristen di Alak mengalami “Defisien/defek moral.” Defisien/ defek moral merupakan sebuah kondisi individu yang hidupnya delinquent (nakal, jahat), sering melakukan kejahatan, berperilaku a-sosial, atau anti-sosial. Ia tidak mengalami penyimpangan organik pada fungsi inteleknya, hanya saja inteleknya tidak berfungsi, sehingga terjadi kebekuan moral yang kronis.   Kata Kunci: sosiologi; etika kristen; interaksi; moralitas; kekristenan

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the implementation of ritual ceremonies and the manifestation of the preservation of social values in the ritual ceremonies of the Sedudo ritual shower. The study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection using interviews and documen- tation. Data analysis is carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The procedure for implementing the Sedudo Siraman ritual ceremony is (1) sacred dance, (2) 15 girls salute / pray for supplication, (3) the Regent gives klenting, (4) klenting is brought to the spring / pool under the Sedudo grojogan, ( 5) klenting is left to the junkies, (6) the men fill the klenting with water and are handed over to the princesses, (7) holy water is handed over to the caretaker, (8) caretakers and village elders keep the water in the village tomb, (9 ) remarks and inaugurationbytheRegent,(10)recitingprayers,(11)bathingtogether.Thisformofsocialvalues is originalinthecommunityofNganjukdistrict.Thesocialvalues containedintheimplementationof the Sedudo Siraman ritual ceremony are the value of tolerance, the value of compassion, the value of mutual cooperation, the value of harmony, the value of togetherness, the value of cooperation, and family values.

Among the many interpretations and claims of humanism by some ideologies, Islam provides its view more comprehensively. Man on earth is seen as a caliph (al-Baqarah [2]: 30), without losing the aspect of divinity. Based on the understanding of Ali Syari’ati’s humanism, researchers seek to uncover the values of humanism contained in Diwan Sayyid Qutb (the work of Islam reformer and social activist, Sayyid Qutb (d. 1966)) and explain how the delivery. The goal is realized through a descriptive qualitative approach, with qualitative content analysis of the latest version of Mayring.The results of this study indicate that the poems in Diwan Sayyid Qutb were analyzed (‘Asyiq al-Muhal, al-Ka’su al-Masmumah, al-Zad al-Akhir, and Shaut al-Wathaniyah) loaded with the values of humanism, among them: religious values, optimistic, moral, consciousness, freedom, creative, and social values. The delivery tends to use simple language and not metaphors. Some poems are closely related to personality and social life poet. As an Islam reformer, his poems are identical to religious values.

This study aims to address the origin and the meaning for the community of tradition the �Giant Lopis� (Lopis Raksasa) in the perspective of religious harmony. The research has been conducted in a descriptive - qualitative approach. In this study, it is attempt to seek a thorough description and depth about the �Giant Lopis� tradition. Furthermore, this study is to find out how the tradition plays a role in order to maintaining an harmony of community in Pekalongan municipality openly and naturally. The results of this study shows that, firstly, is that the tradition of the �Giant Lopis� is closely associated with the practise of fasting on the Shawwal month, which was initiated by KH. Abdullah Siradj of Krapyak in 1855. Subsequently, his followers gave the guests whose came for silaturrahmi with snacks lopis on the 8th day. Another version mentioned that the lopis tradition was inspired by the speech of President Sukarno in 1950s in Kebon Rodjo Pekalongan. Secondly, glutinous rice as the basic ingredient lopis highlights a symbolic of the close relationship that tied rigging as a stronger. At this point, banana leaf wrapping is a symbol that people have to be usefull and good within their social life. Finally, the tradition of the giant lopis has a value of harmony, that is, to encourage tolerance, equality, and mutual cooperation.

The local cultural values that recently begin to be ignored is an important issue to be highlighted in the teaching history. The focus of this research is about the cultural values inheritance of Cikondang indigenous people particularly among young people who are studying in Madrasah Aliyah Al - Hijrah Cikondang, through history education. The approach that is used in this study is a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. The results shows that the cultural values of the Cikondang society can be actualized and internalized in the lessons of history includes: ecological wisdom, respect for history, mutual cooperation culture, education wisdom, and economic wisdom. Teacher has made the community and the surrounding environment as a source of learning, so that students can match what is acceptable in the classroom with the reality on the environment. Internalization appears in the behavior and consciousness of the students toward the cultural of values Cikondang who lived and actualized in everyday life. Thus the inheritance of local wisdoms is very important in learning history so that students will know and understand the noble values contained in the culture. This indicates that school has a great potential as the vehicle for the cultural values inheritance proven by times.

This research takes objective of social life of two different religiouseness ideologies in Islam, those are Sunni and Syi’ah which in Candi, banjaran village. The research applies quantitative method by collecting data with technical observation. It is interview and documentary. Theory applied as approach is structural fungtionalism. So, reality of the connection between Sunni and Syi’ah that run harmonically in Candi, can be referred to aspect of their social valuesand contribution of institution inside.Social harmony connection between Sunni-Syi’ah in Candi is formed by traditional values that prevail and have a vital role of  public figures, which all this supported by all socuety elements. By considerating to a long-internaized norms in society, every part of society effort to maintyain the norms and values they have strongly as a manifestation of harmony in society. A role of public figure also supports to strengthen that condition, and society itself interacts each other to apply values consist of social values of religion, soico-cultural and mutual cooperation. Teori yang digunakan sebagai pendekatan adalah fungsionalisme-struktural. Sehingga potret hubungan antara Sunni dan Syi’ah yang berjalan secara harmonis di Dukuh Candi, dilihat dari aspek nilai-nilai sosialnya dan peran serta institusi sosial di dalamnya.Harmoni sosial hubungan antara Sunni-Syi’ah di Dukuh Candi, dibentuk oleh nilai-nilai tradisional yang berlaku serta peran vital tokoh-tokoh masyarakat, yang semua itu didukung penuh oleh semua elemen masyarakat. Dengan mempertimbangkan pada norma-norma yang telah lama terinternalisir di kalangan masyarakat, maka anggota masyarakat berupaya dalam mempertahankan norma dan nilai yang dimilikinya dengan kuat sebagai manifestasi rasa harmoni dalam masyarakat. Peran tokoh masyarakat turut mengukuhkan kondisi tersebut, dan masyarakat sendiri saling berinteraksi untuk mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai yang terdiri dari: nilai sosial keagamaan, sosial budaya dan gotong royong. Harmoni dalam pluralisme keberagamaan yang ada, berjalan dengan praktik silaturahmi antar tokoh kegamaan dan masyarakat, yaitu melalui pendidikan keagamaan dengan tujuan menumbuhkan kesadaran dalam masyarakat terhadap perbedaan yang ada.Kata Kunci: harmoni sosial, nilai-nilai sosial, peran.

A good novel can teach the value of life and benefits to its readers. One novel that has a life value, especially social values, is the novel Hatta: Aku Datang karena Sejarah by Sergius Sutanto. For this reason, this study aims to describe the social values in Hatta: Aku Datang karena Sejarah by Sergius Sutanto. This research uses a qualitative approach with the content analysis research method. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques that are based on the novel Hatta: Aku Datang Karena Sejarah by Sergius Sutanto. Data analysis techniques with steps: define the unit of analysis, set categories, coding, interpretation, and conclusions. Test the validity of the data using member checks and expert validity. From the results of this study indicate that the social values in the novel Hatta: Aku Datang karena Sejarah by Sergius Sutanto in the form ofthe value of love, the value of responsibility, the value of harmony in life. The most dominant value of love is found especially about devotion, caring, family, please help, and loyalty. The results of this study are expected to be used as teaching material in schools, especially in strengthening the character of students in Indonesian subjects that contain material about novels so that the social values contained in this novel can be implemented in social life.

The aim of this research is to know and analyzes the factors that influence the selection of career interestas public accountant and non-public accountant in terms of financial award, professional training, professionalrecognition, social values, work environment, job market considerations and personality. This research is empiricalresearch with qualitative approach which involves the use of statistical analysis. This research is using the primarydata. The tool used in this research is logistic regression with SPSS software version 16. The results of this researchshow that the financial award, professional training and social values has an influence on the selection of career aspublic accountant and non-public accountant but for professional recognition, work environment, job marketconsideration and personality doesn’t influence the selection of a career as a public accountant and a non-publicaccounting.Key words: accountant, financial award, professional training, professional recognition, social values, workenvironment, job market consideration and personality.

A case study in manufacturing giant attempts to capture how potential effectiveness of a role is psychologically tuned along ten dimensions on which efficacy of an employee is defined. Further, how position, age and tenure of employment interact with role efficacy. A combination of quantitative and qualitative approach is followed, where n=28. Managers are seen as leaders and act like role models for the subordinates. Further, managers are high on helping relationship. Both see an opportunity for personal growth in their role. Self- role integration is lesser in managers than subordinates. Subordinates are found to be more reactive. Confrontation is greater for subordinates than managers. Elders are strong on dimensions common to achievers and youngest seems to have politics. Longer tenures exhibits more helping attitude and more confrontation than with smaller tenures. Thus, the dynamism between position, age and tenure seems to have an effect on role-efficacy.

How can theologians recognize the church as a historical and human community, while still holding that it has been established by Christ and is a work of the Spirit? How can a theological account of the church draw insights and concepts from the social sciences, without Christian commitments and claims about the church being undermined or displaced? In 1927, the 21-year-old Dietrich Bonhoeffer defended his licentiate dissertation, Sanctorum Communio: A Theological Study of the Sociology of the Church. This remains his most neglected and misunderstood work. Christ Existing as Community thus retrieves and analyses Bonhoeffer’s engagement with social theory and attempt at ecclesiology. Against standard readings and criticisms of this work, Mawson demonstrates that it contains a rich and nuanced approach to the church, one which displays many of Bonhoeffer’s key influences—especially Luther, Hegel, Troeltsch, and Barth—while being distinctive in its own right. In particular, Mawson argues that Sanctorum Communio’s theology is built around a complex dialectic of creation, sin, and reconciliation. On this basis, he contends that Bonhoeffer’s dissertation has ongoing significance for work in theology and Christian ethics.

<p>This research began from the emergence of character problems or character crisis by shifting the students’ ethics values in the school. Where the students don’t respect teachers and friends, there is brawl among students, even violence occurs in the classroom, this is a threat of disintegration of the nation. The formulation of the problem is how the strengthening strategy of character education. The purpose of this research is to know the strengthening strategy of character education in the school, related to implementation, monitoring evaluation, supporting factors, obstacles and obtained result. The research method used qualitative approach on natural subject or natural setting, by using observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation, data analysis techniques through data reduction, verification and took a conclusions of processed data. The research was held at SMK 45 and SMK IT NU Saguling, West Bandung. The result of this study. Students become intent on strengthening the character education activities, responsive to social activities in the society, although not all students can implement it yet. The level of discipline is good because students feel shy if they aren’t disciplined, the result of the shame cultural, some students who used to come late to be in time even though not all students feel ashamed when coming late. The supporting factors the implementation of the strengthening of character education in the schools is a good strategy from the principal, the committee and a team of the parent class of students. The Obstacle factors, the shame culture is not held in the school yet, not all teachers become a role models in the schools who give good examples for students. Not all teacher become a strong and intelligent character. So that the presence of educators is as a key actor in the learning process, a professional and have a strong and intelligent character must really have atmosphere in the school, because through educators who have strong and intelligent character will create human resources which is a reflection of a nation that has strong and intelligent character, and virtuous morals.</p><p>Penelitian ini berawal dari munculnya permasalahan karakter atau krisis karakter dengan menggeser nilai-nilai etika siswa di sekolah. Dimana siswa tidak menghargai guru dan teman, terjadi tawuran antar siswa, bahkan terjadi kekerasan di dalam kelas, ini menjadi ancaman disintegrasi bangsa. Rumusan masalah adalah bagaimana strategi penguatan pendidikan karakter. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah terkait dengan pelaksanaan, evaluasi monitoring, faktor pendukung, kendala dan hasil yang diperoleh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pendekatan kualitatif pada subjek alam atau setting alam, dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, teknik analisis data melalui reduksi data, verifikasi dan pengambilan kesimpulan dari data olahan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMK 45 dan SMK IT NU Saguling, Bandung Barat. Hasil penelitian ini. Siswa berkeinginan kuat untuk memperkuat kegiatan pendidikan karakter, tanggap terhadap kegiatan sosial di masyarakat, meskipun belum semua siswa dapat melaksanakannya. Tingkat kedisiplinannya baik karena siswa merasa malu jika tidak didisiplinkan akibat adanya budaya malu, sebagian siswa yang dulunya terlambat datang tepat waktu padahal tidak semua siswa merasa malu jika datang terlambat. Faktor pendukung pelaksanaan penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah adalah strategi yang baik dari kepala sekolah, komite dan tim kelas orang tua siswa. Faktor penghambatnya, belum adanya budaya malu di sekolah, belum semua guru menjadi panutan di sekolah yang memberikan keteladanan yang baik bagi siswa. Tidak semua guru menjadi karakter yang kuat dan cerdas. Sehingga keberadaan pendidik sebagai aktor kunci dalam proses pembelajaran, seorang yang profesional dan berkarakter kuat dan cerdas haruslah benar-benar memiliki atmosfir di sekolah, karena melalui pendidik yang berkarakter kuat dan cerdas akan tercipta sumber daya manusia yang merupakan cerminan. bangsa yang memiliki karakter kuat dan cerdas, serta berakhlak mulia.</p>
