The content of flavonoids on onion useful to maintain endurance. This research aims to know the activity of exstract immunodulator of onion bulb ethanol (Allium cepa L) on phagocytic activity in male mice balb/c with varian dose and campored immunodulator activity with positive control. This study is an experimental reseach with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Preparation of extract ethanol onion roots done by maceration using 96% ethanol for 9 hours. The test performed on samples which consist of 25 mice with carbon clearance method, devided into 5 groups, which are : K – (without treatment), k+ (with imboos 13,3 ml/Kg Bw), P1 (dose 12%), P2 (dose 24%), and P3 (dose 48%). The test performed for 5 days, and on the 7th day injected carbon (pelicans) as much 0,1 ml/ 10 gr Weight intravenousty, their blood taken before carbon injection (minute 0) and minute 4, 8, 12, and 16. After their transmittance measure using spectrophotometer at 600,5 nm wavelength. This research shows that extract ethanol of onion balb has immunodulator activity effect on non-specific immune response on male mice balb/c with carbon clearance method. The dose of 12% (v/v), 24% (v/v) and 48% (v/v) dose have lower immunostimulatory capacity than positive control.

This study aimed to determine the effect of the red watermelon extract can affect the number of leukocytes in mice exposed to cigarette smoke. This study was designed with a completely randomized design using a unidirectional pattern 20 male mice (Mus muscullus) were divided into 4 groups. K1 negative controls were given 0.5 ml of distilled water, K2 positive control by exposure to cigarette smoke and 0.5 ml of distilled water, K3 by exposure to cigarette smoke and red watermelon extract were given a dose of 22 mg / mouse and K4 by exposure to cigarette smoke and were given extracts of red watermelon a dose of 44 mg / mouse. Exposure to cigarette smoke and red watermelon extract conducted for 30 days, making blood on day 31. Blood sampling performed at Plexus Retroorbitalis. Furthermore, counting the number of leukocytes. Data were analyzed using ANOVA completely randomized design with SPSS for Windows 16.0. The results of this study showed that the extract of watermelon for 30 days showed their real influence (P 0.05) to the number of leukocytes in mice. It is concluded that free radicals contained in cigarette can cause a leukocytosis, an inflammatory, oxidative stress and red watermelon extract can minimize cell damage.

<h1>This study aims to determine the response of growth and  production  of  shallot  (Allium cepa L.) to the Nitrogen fertilizer and Granule Organic fertilizer. The design used was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting with two (2) treatment factors. The first factor is Nitrogen (N) from Urea which consists of three levels, namely: N1 = 2 g / plot, N2 = 4 g / plot and N3 = 6 g / plot. The second factor of Organic Granule fertilizer consisted of three levels, namely: G1 = 5 kg / plot, G2 = 10 kg / plot, G3 = 15 kg / plot. The results showed that interaction of Nitrogen fertilizer  and Granul Organic fertilizer significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers and tubers wet weight per plot, but not significant for the number of flower stalks. The highest growth and production of shallots produced a combination of treatment N3 = 6 g / plot and G3 = 15 kg / plot.</h1>

<p>Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui respon tanaman bawang merah (A<em>llium cepa </em>l.) terhadap  interval waktu dan jenis pupuk organik cair (POC). Membandingkan efek  POC berbahan baku <em>C.odorata</em> dibandingkan dengan produk komersil NASA. Kenagarian Painan Timur Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan pada bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2016. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor pertama adalah POC  yang berbahan baku tanaman <em>Chromolaena odorata</em> yang terdiri dari atas 3 jenis yaitu;  Crocober Plus (CP), Unitas Super US dan POC komersil NASA. Faktor kedua adalah interval waktu yang terdiri dari 2 taraf; satu minggu sekali dan dua minggu sekali.  Setiap kombinasi perlakukan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, masing-masing satuan percobaan terdiri dari 3 pot tanaman sampel, sehingga jumlah keseluruhanya adalah 54 pot. Data pengamatan terakhir dirata-ratakan dan dianalisis dengan uji F taraf nyata 5%., bila F hitung &gt; F Tabel 5% dilanjutkan dengan BNT pada taraf nyata 5%.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair Crocober Plus dengan interval waktu pemberian satu minggu sekali mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah, dengan bobot umbi kering tertinggi mencapai 46,18 g pot<sup>-1</sup>.  </p><p> </p><p><em>The aim of this research was to know the response of red onion (Allium cepa l.) on time interval and type of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). Comparing the effects of LOF made from raw C.odorata with NASA commercial products. The study was located in Kenagarian Painan Timur District IV Jurai Pesisir Selatan District from October to December 2016. The experimental design used was Factorial with 2 treatments arranged in Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The first factor was the LOF made from Chromolaena odorata plant which consists of 3 types, namely; Crocober Plus (CP), Unitas Super US and NASA's Liquid commercial. The second factor was a time interval consisting of two levels; once a week and once two weeks. Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times, each experimental unit consisting of 3 potted plants so that the total was 54 pots. The last observational data were analyzed variance or analysis of variance (ANOVA) 5% real level., If F arithmetic&gt; F Table 5% followed by a Little Significance Different (LSD) at 5% real level. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that giving Crocober Plus liquid organic fertilizer with once a week can increase the growth and yield of onion, with the highest dry bulb weight reach 46.18 g pot<sup>-1</sup>.</em></p>

Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum sp.) is mainstay commodities in horticulture industry that have very bright market prospects. One aspect that needs to be done is to use good quality chrysanthemum seeds. The obstacle of seeds from cuttings propagation is thin roots. Efforts to increase root cuttings are by giving exogenous growth regulating substances to stimulate root formation in propagation shoot cuttings. The objective of this study was to find out the effect of onion skin (Allium cepa L.) on the formation of chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum sp) cutting roots. The natural growth regulating agent used is red onion skin (Allium cepa L.). The method that used is experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments, 1 treatment as control and 5 treatments as a treatment that is given different concentration namely 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, and 100% with 5 times retreatment. From the data that has been obtained from the experimental results, data analysis is done using analysis of variance (ANOVA) using Microsoft Excel. If the results show the value is significantly different then it will be followed by BNT 0.05 test. Parameters observed include percentage of growing cutting, root length, number of root and when buds appear. The result showed that onion skin significantly affects the roots formation of chrysanthemum cuttings. The optimal effect of onion skin was shown at 80% concentration on the number of roots and root length with an average number of roots 19 and 3,7 cm root length. ABSTRAKKrisan (Chrysanthemum sp.) merupakan komoditas andalan dalam industri hortikultura yang memiliki prospek pasar yang sangat cerah. Salah satu aspek yang perlu dilakukan yaitu menggunakan bibit tanaman krisan yang berkualitas baik. Kendala  pada bibit hasil perbanyakan dengan stek adalah perakaran yang kurang lebat. Upaya meningkatkan perakaran bibit stek adalah dengan memberikan zat pengatur tumbuh secara eksogen untuk merangsang pertumbuhan akar dalam perbanyakan melalui stek pucuk. Zat Pengatur Tumbuh alami yang digunakan adalah kulit bawang merah (Allium  cepa  L.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kulit bawang merah (Allium cepa L.) terhadap pembentukan akar stek pucuk tanaman krisan (Chrysanthemum sp). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL)  yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan, 1 perlakuan sebagai kontrol dan 5 perlakuan sebagai perlakuan yang diberi konsentrasi yang berbeda yaitu 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, dan 100% dengan 5 kali ulangan. Dari data yang telah diperoleh dari hasil eksperimen dilakukan analisis data menggunakan analisis varian (ANOVA) dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Apabila hasil menunjukkan nilai berbeda nyata maka akan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT 0.05. Parameter yang diamati meliputi persentase tumbuh stek, panjang akar, jumlah akar dan waktu muncul tunas. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan bahwa pemberian kulit bawang merah berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan akar stek tanaman krisan. Pengaruh kulit bawang merah yang optimal ditunjukkan pada konsentrasi 80% terhadap jumlah akar dan panjang akar dengan rata-rata jumlah akar 19 dan panjang akar 3,7 cm.Kata kunci: Kulit bawang merah, Zat pengatur tumbuh alami, Stek pucuk krisan.

Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) has been known as traditional medicine. Shallot which has same genus with garlic(Allium sativum L.) contains allicin that is also found in garlic and has been suspected has fungicidal activity toCandida albicans. It is supported by several researches. Therefore, shallot is suspected has antifungal activity too.The aim of this research was to know antifungal activity of shallot’s water extortion againsts Candida albicans invitro. This was a laboratory experimental research which used completely randomized design, with diffusion method.Shallot’s water extortion was devided into three concentrations, there were 50%, 100% and 200%. Ketoconazole 2%was positive control and aquadest was negative control. The result of this research based on analysis of varians(Anova), there was significant difference between several treatments and was confirmed with Duncan New MultipleRange Test (DNMRT) p<0,05, there was significant difference between 100% shallot’s water extortion with othertreatments, but there was no significant difference between 50% shallot’s water extortion with 200% shallot’s. Theconclusion was shallot’s water extortion had antifungal activity againsts Candida albicans with the best concentration100%, but it was lower than ketoconazole 2%.

This study aims to 1) to see the effect of natural phytohormones in onions and coconut water on the growth of sugarcane, 2) To see the effect of giving natural phytohormones to sugarcane plants which produce the best growth, 3) To see the results of research on the growth of sugarcane can be used biology learning resources. This type of research is an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD). This study consisted of 4 treatments, namely, the first treatment was giving sand and red soil, the second treatment was giving manure and 15% concentration of onion solution phytohormones, the third treatment was giving manure and phytohormones with 25% concentration of coconut water solution, the fourth treatment was Pembrian. Manure and phytohormone combined with 15% concentration of onion solution + phytohormone with 25% concentration of coconut water solution. The parameters observed in this study were height in units (cm), number of leaves (counting manually), stem diameter in units (cm). To determine the effect of phytohormone solutions on shallots and coconut water, data analysis was carried out using the one-way ANOVA test. and further tests to find out the most optimum treatment for the growth of sugarcane using the BNJ test. Based on the research, there was a significant effect of giving natural phytohormones on the growth of sugarcane, with the best treatment, namely the third treatment of giving manure and phytohormones of coconut water solution. The results of this research can be used as a source of learning biology in the form of videos with material on the growth and development of class XII. Kata kunci: larutan bawang merah (allium cepa L), air  kelapa (cocos nucifera L), fitohormon, tanamantebu.

ABSTRACT Gotu Kola Leaf (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) are known to contain flavonoid compound, and flavonoid are known to decrease blood glucose level by stimulating pancreas beta cells to produce insulin. The aim of this research is to find out wether the ethanol extract of gotu kola leaf (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) has the antidiabetic effectiveness or not. This research used Completely Randomized Design method. There were 15 rats used in this research that were split into 5 groups that is negative control (Aquadest), positive control (Metformin), and ethanol extract of gotu kola leaf with the dosage of 5.4 mg;10.8 mg;21.6 mg. The acquired data were analyzed with ANOVA test and LSD test. The analysis result showed that ethanol extract of gotu kola leaf had antidiabetic effectiveness against male white rat. Keywords:  Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) diketahui mengandung zat flavonoid, dimana flavonoid telah diketahui mempunyai kemampuan menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dengan merangsang sel beta pankreas untuk memproduksi insulin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak etanol daun pegagan memiliki efekivitas antidiabetes. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Tikus yang digunakan sebanyak 15 ekor dan dibagi dalam 5 kelompok yaitu kontrol negatif (aquadest), kontrol positif (metformin), dan ekstrak etanol daun pegagan dengan dosis 5,4 mg; 10,8 mg; 21,6 mg. Data yang ada dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ANOVA dan uji LSD. Hasil analisis menujukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun pegagan memiliki efektivitas antidiabetes terhadap tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus). Kata kunci: Centella asiatica (L.) Plants that can be used as pesticides are Gadung tubers. Gadung tubers contain cyanide acid to kill armyworm pests because they contain dioscorin toxins which can cause nervous disorders. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Gadung tuber extract (Dioscorea hispida) on Caterpillar mortality (Spodoptera exigua) in Shallot plants. This type of research is experimental research. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD). The sample used was 5 caterpillars (Spodoptera exigua) in each polybag with 5 repetitions for each concentration of Gadung tuber extract, namely 0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 2.5%, so the total Caterpillar used was 150 Caterpillars. Gadung tuber extraction was carried out by maceration method with methanol solvent. Data were analyzed using a one-way analysis of variance at the 95% significance level, followed by DMRT (Duncans Multiple Range Test). The results showed that the Gadung tuber extract had a significant effect on the mortality of caterpillars (Spodoptera exigua) because the F count was greater than the F table (45.40>2.62), and the DMRT test results showed that the optimal concentration of Gadung tuber extract was 2.5%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the extract of Gadung tuber (Dioscorea hispida) affects the mortality of Caterpillars (Spodoptera exigua) in Shallots (Allium cepa).

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan kulit nanas fermentasi ke dalam ransum yang mengandung gulma berkhasiat obat terhadap konsumsi nutrient ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan DOC jantan strain cob umur 2 hari sebanyak 200 ekor yang dipelihara selama 42 hari. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. P0 = 0% tepung kulit nanas fermentasi (TKNF) dalam ransum mengandung 0% gulma obat(GO), (kontrol positif), P1 = 0% TKNF dalam ransum mengandung 2 % gulma obat (GO),(kontrol negatif), P2 = 7.5% TKNF dalam ransum mengandung 2 % gulma berkhasiat obat, P3 = 15% TKNF dalam ransum mengandung 2 % gulma berkhasiat obat, P4 = 22.5% TKNF dalam ransum mengandung 2 % gulma berkhasiat obat. Parameter yang diamati kandungan gizi kulit nanas sebelum dan sesudah fermentasi dan konsumsi nutrient. Pengaruh yang nyata terhadap parameter yang diamati dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan, Data yang diperoleh dari setiap parameter dianalisis ragam (ANOVA) menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 16.0. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kulit nanas yang fermentasi dengan yoghurt dalam ransum yang mengandung gulma berkhasiat obat pada taraf 15% memberikan hasil terbaik pada konsumsi nutrient ayam broiler. (Fermented pineapple peel supplementation with addition of medicinal weeds on nutrient intake consumption of broiler chicken) ABSTRACT. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of using fermented pineapple peel in the ration containing medicinal weeds on nutrient consumption and performance of broiler . Two hundred 2 days male broiler chicken cob strain were used in this study and kept for 42 days. Completely randomized design (CRD)was applied with 5 treatments and 5 replicates. Treatments consisted of P0 = 0% of fermented pineapple peels meal (FPPM) in ration containing 0% medicinal weed (MW), positive control). P1 = 0% of fermented pineapple peels meal (FPPM) in the ration containing 2 % medicinal weed (MW), negative control). P2 = 7.5% of FPPM in the ration containing 2 % medicinal weed (MW). P3 = 15% of FPPM in the ration containing 2 % medicinal weed (MW). P4 = 22,5% of FPPM in the ration containing 2 % medicinal weed (MW). The parameters measured was nutrien intake before and after fermented peel and consumption. The observed data were analyzed by statistical product and service solution (SPSS 16.0). Results showed that use of fermented pineapple peel meal up to 15% with addition medicinal weeds was the best on nutrient consumption of broiler chicken.

Torch ginger has a wide range of good antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer, larvicidal and repellent activities. Active compounds in Torch ginger that affect pharmacological activities are phenols, polyphenols, flavonoids, and terpenoids. Based on these ingredients Torch ginger can be used to heal wounds. This study aims to observe the effect of Torch ginger Umbut extract on wound healing in mice. This study hopes to add information about the effect of Torch ginger umbut extract on the healing of cuts in mice so that it can be another alternative for wound healing and can be a reference for other researchers. This study used a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Tests carried out on adult male mice. The results showed that the optimal wound healing in P2 is treatment with 10% Torch ginger umbut extract which requires a range of wound healing 7-8 days. Based on these results, Torch ginger umbut extract can heal wounds.
