One of the ways to attract students' interest in learning English is to use interactive teaching materials. However, the teaching materials used at State Polytechnic of Fakfak are still in the form printed materials which seem inefficient to be used during the Covid 19 pandemic because the all the teaching process is online. Therefore, one of the solutions to implement mobile learning. Using mobile learning provides the users accessing material through smartphones and learning through mobile learning applications anywhere and anytime. This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of an Android-based English Learning Application at Department of Informatics Management at the State Polytechnic of Fakfak, West Papua. The method used in this study is the Waterfall method, where a software development model is carried out sequentially, which means that one stage is carried out after the previous stage is completed. With the teaching materials in the Android-based English course, it can help the educators to carry out their duty as a lecturer to handle learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic.  The result of this study is an Android-based English Learning Application that is functionally tested using the Black Box method. Based on the test results, the application is functioning properly. This is proved by the feasibility test using distributed questionnaires to 40 students of the Department of Informatics Management. There are 96% of students stated that the application can be operated easily and is satisfying

An event is a means for students to improve their soft skill and hard skill. In college, one kind of event that usually held regularly is an exhibition. It is usually held around the universities environtment, but in practice there are still some shortcomings, such as the registration process is done manually, attendance of participants that are not integrated with the system, and unavailability of certificates for participants who have attended the event. Since the outbreak of Covid-19, organizing the events must be done online, so we need a system that can accommodate this. Therefore, this study aims to create an event management system that can manage exhibition event data. Besides, the system is also equipped with a feature to generate an E-Certificate that has a QR Code embedded. The method used in this study is Extreme Programming, with its flexible nature toward changes to facilitate the process of system development. The testing in this study is using black box method, with the test results show that all functional in the system can run well in accordance with user expectations. Sorghum has a growing popularity for food, feed, biofuel, and therefore needs to be developed. The research aimed to compare the effectiveness of pedigree and modified bulk selection methods for improving yield in three sorghum populations. The genetic materials used were 60 F6 lines from three populations, namely PI 10-90-A x Numbu, PI 150-20-A x Numbu and PI 150-20-A x Kawali which had been selected using pedigree and modified bulk methods. The experiment was conducted from October 2018 to February 2019 at the Cikabayan Experimental Station of IPB University, Dramaga, Bogor. The experiment was arranged in an augmented design with six checks, namely Kawali, Numbu, PI 10-90-A, PI 150-20-A, Samurai 1, and Samurai 2 which were replicated four times. Observations were made on agronomic traits and yield. Plant height and grain weight per panicle had high heritability and large genotypic coefficients of variation. The contrast test results showed significant differences between populations in plant height, panicle length, days of harvesting and 100-seed weight. On the other hand, no significant difference was observed among selection methods, indicating that both methods were equally effective for increasing sorghum yield. The pedigree selection and modified bulk selection increased grain yield per panicle by 14.1 g and 18.2 g respectively. Bulk of the best genotypes in early generation could be an alternative of bulk selection method. Keywords: contrast test, differential selection, genotypic coefficient of variation, heritability
