Early detection and repeated learning training of children with intellectual disabilities are important factors that are directly related to the quality of future life of such children. However, implementation of such programs is challenging, as the subjects are still children. Therefore, motivation and interest are important for children with intellectual disabilities to carry out continuous training. In this study, Neuro-World, a game-based cognitive training program, was proposed for motivation and interest induction, and its effectiveness was compared with that of a conventional cognitive training program through analysis after both programs were implemented by professional therapists. The pre-test and post-test results of the game-based cognitive training program were statistically significant and showed superiority in the comparison with the conventional program. Therefore, the game-based cognitive training program developed in this study through digital media is expected to be effective in improving cognitive learning ability.

This study is aimed at gaining an understanding of the influence of e-portfolio on the process and quality of translation (acceptability, accuracy, and readability) of students and how e-portfolio affects the process and quality of student translations. The method used in this research is sequential explanatory design. The subjects of this study are the third-year students of English Education Department at Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA) Indonesia who took translation practice course. The quantitative data are taken from the pre-test and post-test results. The qualitative data are gained from questionnaire and interview. After analysis, it is found that e-portfolio influenced the students’ translation ability where the value is Sig. = 0.001 < α = 0.05. It was discovered that 82% students achieved higher score in acceptability. Meanwhile, 62% students achieved higher score in accuracy, and only 56% students achieved higher score in readability. In terms of translation process, e-portfolio helps students track their progress, give and receive feedback from various participants, as well as have virtual room to sort their works which are easily accessible.

In addition, also see the quality of LKS developed viewed from aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness. This type of research is research development or Research and Development (R&D). This study follows the steps of the ADDIE development model covering five stages of development: analysis, develompment, implementation and evaluation. The subject of this research is the students of class VII A SMPN 10 Muara Bungo. Research instruments on this development are questionnaires and questions. The questionnaire consisted of a validation sheet by 3 experts, materials experts, design experts, and media experts as well as individualized questionnaires, small group trials and field trials. While the instrument in the form of questions consists of a matter of pre-test and post-test. After the LKS was developed, the LKS was validated by 3 validators. The percentage of results obtained after validation is: for the material expert's assessment of 81.8% with the category "very valid", the design expert of 77.8% with the category "valid" and 87.7% media experts with the category "very valid. Then the LKS in the test try, the percentage of test results obtained are: individual test of 82.5% with the category of "very practical", small group testing of 89.7% with the category "very practical" and field trials of 83,7% with very practical category. Furthermore, to assess the effectiveness of LKS seen from the results of pre-test and post-test conducted by students, then calculated using the calculation of t-test statistics, obtained tcount of 9.24 and ttable of 2.03, because tcount larger ttable it can be concluded that the LKS developed effectively. One indicator of the success of education is the good quality of teachers. Permendiknas Number 16 of 2007 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Competency of Subject Teachers states that teachers must have competencies, one of which is the competence to develop assessment instruments, both assessment of learning processes and assessment of learning outcomes. This is very important to measure the learning outcomes that have been set in the curriculum. In fact, English teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah were still lacked in compiling exam questions using HOTS criteria. Therefore, the training program to create HOTS based test for English teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah was implemented. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test conducted, it was found that there was an increase in knowledge about the preparation of HOTS-based questions by the English teacher of SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah.

Cognitive integrity has a multifactorial basis and is essential for quality of life and wellbeing. Several lifestyle programs including those using cognitive training have been developed in the past recent years to preserve cognitive health, but there is still debate about the most effective strategy to be used. We retrospectively analyzed data from 289 healthy participants of the BrainProtect® cognitive training program, developed by the German Association for Memory Training (Bundesverband Gedächtnistraining e.V.). Eight weekly 90- minute sessions of cognitive exercises were holistically structured to include physical exercises and nutrition counseling basing upon social interaction. The large majority (79.9%) of the participants showed improved cognitive scores after the intervention with respect to the baseline, with more than 10/69 points gained. Almost 60% felt their cognitive efficiency increased and an average increase in all cognitive domain explored could be observed. This retrospective analysis of preliminary data suggests that BrainProtect® might improve mental fitness after 8 weeks of multidomain cognition-centered training. These encouraging results need to be confirmed in further randomized studies.
