AbstractIn modern times like today, the development of information and communication technology is very rapid and cannot be stopped. Without realizing it, this technological development brings changes to human social behavior, technology offers new ways for humans to communicate through various new media (New Media). One of the New Media that is a product of technological developments that greatly affect our daily lives is social media. As time goes by, social media is not only a medium of communication or just spending free time. More than that, social media now has several other roles, one of which is as a means of conveying criticism of the situation created under a state government agency as well as a means of political campaigns for representation from the state government. With the formation of new behaviors in conveying voices in public spaces, many new things are also born, one of which is the buzzer phenomenon. Bauzzer on social media is associated with a party related to increasing trends and discussions on social media, it can be said that the buzzer is a raiser of issues or discussions about something on social media. On this occasion, the researcher will discuss the buzzer phenomenon on the controversial issue of undang-undang cipta kerja or omnibus lawKeywords: social media, buzzer, omnibus law, digital activism.   AbstrakPada masa modern seperti sekarang ini, perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sangatlah pesat dan tidak bisa di hentikan. Tanpa disadari, perkembangan teknologi ini membawa perubahan pada perilaku sosial manusia, teknologi menawarkan cara baru kepada manusia dalam berkomunikasi melalui berbagai media baru (New Media). Salah satu New Media yang menjadi produk perkembangan teknologi yang sangat berpengaruh pada kehidupan kita sehari-hari adalah media sosial. Seiring berjalannya waktu media sosial tidak hanya sebagai media komunikasi ataupun sekedar menghabiskan waktu luang. Lebih dari itu, media sosial kini telah memiliki beberapa peran lain salah satunya sebagai sarana penyampaian kritik atas situasi yang tercipta dibawah sebuah pemerintahan lembaga negara maupun sarana kampanye politik bagi representasi dari pemerintahan negara. Dengan terbentuknya perilaku baru dalam manyampaikan suara pada ruang publik, banyak hal baru pun ikut terlahir, salah satunya adalah fenomena buzzer. Bauzzer di sosial media di kaitkan dengan suatu pihak yang terkait dengan peningkatan trend dan bahasan di sosial media, bisa dikatakan bahwa buzzer merupakan pengangkat isu-isu atau pembahasan mengenai sesuatu di sosial media. Pada kesempatan kali ini peneliti akan membahas mengenai fenomena buzzer pada isu kontroversional UU cipta kerja atau omnibus lawKatakunci: media sosial, buzzer, omnibus law, aktivisme digital.

<p><em>Technological developments have positive and negative impact on teenagers in particular. The most common negative impact of technology is cyber bullying. In globalization era and technological development, nowadays computer can produce multifunctional internet. All good and evil behavior can be done on social media. Before the development of the internet, cyber bullying actor committed their crimes in the real world. Cyber bullying actor can hurt and make many individuals uncomfortable in their lives. The crime is called bullying. Nowadays, the bullying can be done through any other media indirectly such as social media and it called cyber bullying. According to the Hinduja and Patching Cyber-Bullying researcher, the behavior is described as intentional action by sending electronic text (e-mail), or recording images that are usually uploaded to social media (youtube). The contents uploaded such as mocking, harassing, threatening, harassing, or insulting.<strong></strong></em></p>

Social media is used for variety of activities, including sharing information, interacting with peers and developing a coherent identity. Adolescents currently are growing up with new media, intertwining these in their daily lives. Identity development is a main task for adolescents and media provides possibilities for self-presentation. In this research, we examine, how aspects of online self-presentation are influenced by adolescents’ personality characteristics.

<pre><em>The generation of digital children from birth was referred to as Digital native</em><em>, at the same times </em><em>people </em><em>who was </em><em>born </em><em>at </em><em>the first media age were referred to as digital immigrants.</em><em> </em><em>There are differences in thinking and how to use his mind between these two generations when processing information,</em><em> </em><em>the emergence of a new culture due to the use of digital media encourages changes in values in local culture.</em><em> </em><em>The general objective to be achieved in this study is to increase the awareness of teenagers that new cultures born as a result of new technological developments must be able to be balanced by having the awareness and ability to filter the new culture and still maintain the cultural values that have been inherited from ancestors as a form of one characteristic nations have many positive values. The method used in this study was  a qualitative method with descriptive analysis techniques,</em> <em>PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) and SWOT. The results of this research mention that; ability, and understanding of students, parents, and educators about how technology changes learning, playing, community</em> <em>then an understanding of the importance of critical discussion on technological development to the stages of new media literacy that should be carried out is still in its early stages (</em><em>just know it</em><em>) and not yet applied.</em></pre>

Abstract. Nowadays, the use of social media, one of which is the Instagram application in the Insta Story feature, has many advantages such as its wide coverage, because it uses online facilities, and its continuous connectivity. The presence of this new media makes it easier for humans to communicate daily. In the current era, companies need to utilize their resources optimally, and try to influence consumers' buying interest through the promotion of Wellborn products. Current technological developments make it easier for consumers to find information about a product on the market. The theory used in this research is the theory of Uses and Gratification. The research method used is quantitative correlational studies applying the rank Spearmen correlational formula to test whether there is the relationship between Attraction, Convert, and Transfrom, in using the insta story feature as a promotional medium, with the interest in buying Wellborn products. Sampling was carried out on 67 respondents as well as viewers. Based on the results of the study, it is showed that there was a significant relationship between the use of Insta Story features as a media promotion and the interest in buying Wellborn products; with a total coefficient value of 66,283.Keywords: buying interest, Instagram, Insta Story, PromotionAbstrak. Penggunaan media sosial saat ini mempunyai keunggulan salah satunya yaitu aplikasi instagram dalam fitur insta story yang cakupannya luas menggunakan fasilitas online dan terhubung kapanpun. Kehadiran media baru (new media) semakin memudahkan manusia dalam berkomunikasi sehari-hari.Di era sekarang perusahaan perlu memanfaatkan sumber dayanya dengan optimal, serta berusaha mempengaruhi minat beli konsumen melalui adanya promosi produk Wellborn. Perkembangan teknologi saat ini jauh lebih memudahkan para konsumen untuk mencari informasi tentang suatu produk yang ada di pasaran. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah teori Uses and Gratification. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penulis dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif studi korelasional dan menggunakan rumus korelasional rank spearmen untuk menguji apakah ada hubungan antara Attraction, Convert, dan Transfrom penggunaan fitur insta story sebagai media promosi dengan minat beli produk Wellborn. Pengambilan sample dilakukan kepada 67 orang responden followers sekaligus viewers. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara Penggunaan Fitur Insta Story sebagai Media Promosi dengan Minat Beli Produk Wellborn dengan nilai total koefisien sebesar 66,283.Kata kunci: Minat beli, Instagram, Insta Story dan Promosi

<p>Democracy as a political and the government system has demonstrated its existence in the history of the world. This existence can be seen from the many countries that implement it, especially Indonesia. The democratic process becomes an interesting phenomenon because it cannot be separated from the dynamics of the community itself.</p><p>At present the community has entered the digital era, that the utilization of information and communication technology are massive. One phenomenon of concern is the widespread use of social media. The reality of the utilization of social media not only showed the trend of community interaction and communication but also the trend of political participation which correlates with the sustainability of democracy in Indonesia. At least, it has happened in the last decades, where political figures have been using social media as a channel to construct personal image. On the other hand, social media for civil society is as a new media (alternative media) in channeling aspirations, support, and even criticism to political and government figures.</p><p>Social media trends also cannot be separated from the figure of young people as massive users of these contemporary products. Even social media is a preference for young people to participate in upholding democratization in Indonesia. It can be seen from the posts or their responses to the socio-political conditions in this country through their account lines and the number of comments they wrote on the accounts of a number of political and government figures.</p><p><strong><em>Keywords: democracy, social media, youth. </em></strong></p>

Social media is like a two-edged knife. The presence of new media as a manifestation of advances in science and technology has changed the mass communication model that is generally carried out by mass media from one to many becomes many to many, where anyone can now become a maker of information and through new media disseminate it. This condition then obscures the function of the press institution as well as raises the question of whether the mass media have been marginalized. However, the presence of this new media simultaneously helps media institutions in expanding their reach. This study intends to find out how print media journalists as conventional media interpret and experience new media in their daily lives as journalists are faced with the presence of new media. Through the phenomenological study method and Alfred Schutzs phenomenological theory, the results of this research are that journalists interpret new media as a source of initial information, challenges that spur work, complementary partners and information and entertainment media. While the experiences of journalists include being required to work quickly and produce in-depth reports, seek information through social media without leaving the reporting agenda and use social media to disseminate news, educate and participate collectively.
