AbstractCorona Virus Disease (COVID-19) is a global health problem because it has spread in more than 200 countries in the world, including Indonesia. COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus which is transmitted via droplets from infected people. The implementation of optimal health protocols is considered as one of the effective way to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission in Indonesia. Currently, Islamic boarding schools are starting to return their activities by implementing health protocols in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, healthy lifestyle behaviors such as physical activity and balanced nutritional intake related to body immunity are also important in preventing COVID 19. Information on this is still limited, including for boarding school residents as an effort to prevent COVID 19. Teachers and students as an active components in Islamic boarding schools have a big role in preventing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The purpose of this community service activity is optimize the role of teachers and students in increasing knowledge of healthy lifestyles and immunity related to COVID-19. The method used is online health education and training on making e-posters to teachers. Then there is a transfer of knowledge from teachers to students regarding the material provided is followed by offline discussions. Students were asked to make health promotion media or e-posters for the public and competed. The results of the e-posters competition were disseminated to the pesantren environment. Pre-test and post-test activities were carried out to assess teacher knowledge before and after receiving health education. As a result, there is an increase in knowledge and changes in teacher behavior related to the material provided, namely health protocols, healthy living behavior, balanced nutritional intake and physical activity.Keywords: COVID-19, Islamic boarding school, healthy lifestyle, public health, teacher training.AbstrakCorona Virus Disease (COVID-19) merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan global karena telah menyebar di lebih dari 200 negara di dunia termasuk Indonesia. Penyakit ini disebabkan oleh virus SARS-CoV-2 yang menular via droplet individu yang terinfeksi. Penerapan protokol kesehatan yang optimal dianggap sebagai salah satu cara efektif memutus rantai penularan COVID-19 di Indonesia. Saat ini pondok pesantren mulai beraktivitas kembali dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan di tengah pandemi COVID 19. Selain itu perilaku hidup sehat seperti aktivitas fisik dan asupan gizi seimbang yang terkait dengan imunitas tubuh juga penting dalam pencegahan COVID 19. Informasi mengenai hal ini masih terbatas termasuk juga untuk warga pesantren sebagai upaya pencegahan COVID 19. Guru dan santri sebagai komponen aktif di pesantren memiliki peranan besar dalam mencegah risiko penularan COVID-19.  Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mengoptimalisasi peran guru dan santri dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan pola hidup sehat dan imunitas terkait COVID-19 melalui. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan kesehatan dan pelatihan pembuatan e-poster kepada guru secara daring. Kemudian dilakukan transfer of knowledgedari guru ke santri mengenai materi yang diberikan diikuti diskusi secara luring. Santri diminta untuk membuat media promosi kesehatan berupa e-poster untuk masyarakat awam dan dikompetisikan serta hasil e-poster di diseminasi ke lingkungan pesantren. Dilakukan kegiatan pre-test dan post-test untuk menilai pengetahuan guru sebelum dan setelah mendapatkan penyuluhan kesehatan. Hasilnya, terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan perubahan perilaku guru terkait materi yang diberikan yaitu protokol kesehatan, perilaku hidup sehat, asupan gizi seimbang dan aktivitas fisik.Kata Kunci: COVID-19, pesantren, gaya hidup sehat, kesehatan masyarakat, pelatihan guru.

There were some students that spit their saliva out of the windows and  spit their saliva out when they were in the classroom. There were also some teachers who were smoking in inappropriate place and some students who were throwing rubbish, such as candies wrap, anywhere. Teachers and students were still having low concern in maintaining the toilet and shower, hence the toilet and shower were still smelly and dirty. This activity was intended to implement “tri dharma perguruan tinggi” and to share the knowledge to other people, especially for students of SMA Negeri 1 Sapuran, Wonosobo.  Hopefully, at the end of this activity, the students would realize the importance of implementing clean and healthy living. This service activity was carried out in one day in July 2016, in SMA Negeri 1 Sapuran, Wonosobo, Central Java. The activities of clean and healthy behavior were not pre-tested but had been observed for two months. From two-months observation, there were still lots of food packages scattered everywhere. Therefore, it could be stated that the students of SMA Negeri 1 Sapuran were still lacking of clean and healthy behavior. The method of health education was performed through mass counseling. The students were collected in the hall, given material using Microsoft PowerPoint with lectures as well as discussion. Then, followed by post-test to find out whether the material provided was useful in increasing knowledge and applying clean and healthy lifestyle for students. The service was attended by 159 students. The results of observations on knowledge were still lacking, judging from the post-test results showed an increase in knowledge that was good at 81.8%. The result of clean and healthy behavior that observed within two months after counseling was good, there were not a lot of garbage scattered on the yard.

AbstrakPola Strategi pengembangan Pondok Pesantren di Malangke, strategi pengembangan pesantren adalah cara atau srategi yang digunakan oleh wadah atau tempat guna proses suatu perubahan berencana yang memerlukan dukungan semua pihak, anatara lain Kepala, staff, guru, dan siswa dengan perubahan-perubahan itu diharapkan dapat mengembangkan dan meningkatkan lembaga pendidikan, yang memerlukan usaha jangka pendek, menengah, dan panjang guna menghadapi perubahan yang akan terjadi pada masa mendatang. Peluang dan tangan pengembangan Pesantren di Luwu Utara,  terdapat Undang-undang Nomor 20 tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, yang beberapa pasalnya menekankan penyelenggaraan pendidikan keagamaan, seperti, pasal 30 ayat (1) dan Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) Nomor 55 Tahun 2007 tentang Pendidikan Agama dan Pendidikan Keagamaan pada pasal 1 ayat (2) tentang Pendidikan Agama dan Pendidikan Keagamaan yang didalamnya secara tegas dikemukakan bahwa pondok pesantren menyelenggarakan pendidikan diniyah pada tingkat dasar dan menengah, tergolong dalam sub sistem pendidikan Nasional di Indonesia yang bertujuan untuk mencerdaskan bangsa, menjadikan manusia yang beriman dan bertaqwa kepada Tuhan yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, sehat, berilmu, cakap, kreatif, mandiri dan menajdi warga negara yang demokratis serta bertanggung jawab. Sedangkan tantangan ada beberapa hambatan 1)Sistem kurikulum yang lebih modern, sehingga pesantren ketinggalan jauh dari sekolah umum, 2) Kurangnya anggaran dan sumber pendanaan disebabkan oleh kurang siswa. 3) adanya sebagian orang tua tidak tertarik menyekolahkan anak di sekolah Pesantren.Kata kunci:      Pengembangan, Pondok Pesantren As’addiyah.  AbstractThe pattern of the development of Islamic boarding schools in Malangke, the strategy of developing pesantren is the method or strategy used by the place or place for the process of planning changes that require the support of all parties, among others, the Head, staff, teachers and students are expected to develop and improving educational institutions, which require short, medium and long-term efforts to deal with changes that will occur in the future. Opportunities and hands for the development of Islamic boarding schools in North Luwu, there is Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, some of which emphasize the implementation of religious education, such as article 30 paragraph (1) and Government Regulation (PP) Number 55 of 2007 concerning Education Religion and Religious Education in Article 1 paragraph (2) concerning Religious Education and Religious Education in which it is expressly stated that Islamic boarding schools conduct early childhood education at the elementary and secondary levels, belonging to the national education sub-system in Indonesia which aims to educate the nation, make humans who have faith and devotion to the Almighty God, are noble, healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent and become a democratic and responsible citizen. While the challenges are several obstacles 1) A more modern curriculum system, so that pesantren lag far behind public schools, 2) The lack of budgets and funding sources is caused by lack of students. 3) there are some parents who are not interested in sending their children to school in Islamic boarding schools.Keywords:        Development, As'addiyah Islamic Boarding School.

The prevalence of hypertension has increased throughout the year. Hypertension spreads widely because of the lack of knowledge and a healthy lifestyle. People's lifestyle which is more practical has an impact on the implementation of inappropriate hypertension diets and triggers various diseases. Based on this phenomenon, it is necessary to increase public knowledge about hypertension diets. The purpose of this activity was to provide counseling about a low-salt diet as an effort to increase knowledge of hypertension patients. The method was done by giving counseling about low salt diet through lectures to 30 hypertension patients who were routinely monitored at the Panti Rahayu Clinic. The pre test showed that almost all of the hypertension patients (80%) were in the poor category of knowledge. The post test showed that after being given counseling the knowledge of hypertension patients increased almost half (46%) were in the good category. Knowledge of hypertension patients increased after getting information through counseling activities about a low salt diet. Suggestions for clinics are expected to hold regular and periodic health education or promotion programs to provide information so as to increase the knowledge of hypertension patients.

Health Education in Efforts to Prevent Scabies at Islamic Boarding School of Harsallakum Madrasah Tsanawiyah Bengkulu Scabies is a skin disease caused by the Sarcoptes scabiei parasite that invades the skin of humans or animals. The high prevalence of scabies is generally found in environments with high population density and high interpersonal contacts such as prisons, Islamic boarding schools, and orphanages. There has been no research on the prevalence of scabies in the Harsallakum Islamic Boarding School, Bengkulu city. However, based on information from the school, there were several students who have been infected by skin disease with clinical symptoms of scabies. This community service program was aimed to provide education to students about preventing scabies infection. The service activities included delivering material about scabies, distributing leaflets, post-test and pre-test. This activity was attended by 65 participants. Evaluation included pre-test and post-test about the education carried out. The instrument to measure the level of students' understanding was the form of a questionnaire. The average value of the pre-test was 55.18 while the average value of the post-test was 80.26. It was concluded that this educational activity could increase the knowledge of the students of the Harsallakum Islamic Boarding School in Bengkulu about scabies disease. To optimize the prevention of scabies transmission, it is recommended to increase health education activities by involving health workers.

This article is about the transformation of Islamic boarding schools in tackling religious radicalism in Islamic boarding schools in the capital city of Jakarta. This article uses descriptive methods to obtain the whole picture of the problems found in the field. The unit of analysis used is The Leader or Pak Kyai, Teachers and Students, Santri. The findings in this article are: First, Transforming the purpose of Islamic boarding schools in overcoming religious radicalism in Islamic boarding schools in the capital city of Jakarta by trying to create and develop Muslim personalities who believe and worship unto Allah, good behavior & character and being useful for society. Islamic boarding schools guide students to become adult students, act and think critically and responsibly, also foster an attitude of mutual respect and appreciate for distinctive cultural, customs, race and every other person’s abilities. Second, the transformation of the Islamic boarding school curriculum in overcoming religious radicalism in Islamic boarding schools in the capital city of Jakarta by using a curriculum that teaches the science of comparative Mazhab, so not to give the impression of exclusivity from other thoughts. Third, Transformation of teaching methods in Islamic ~ HIKMAH, Vol. XIV, No. 1, 2018 boarding schools to overcoming religious radicalism in Islamic boarding schools in Jakarta’s capital city by increasing the use of cooperative learning or teaching methods designed to educate group cooperation. Besides being developed to achieve academic learning achievements, the method is also effective in developing social skills and encourages respect for the opinions of others so that it becomes a way to overcome religious radicalism towards Santri. Keywords: Islamic Boarding School, Religius Radicalism Artikel ini mengenai transformasi pondok pesantren dalam menanggulangi radikalisme agama pada pondok pesantren daerah penyangga ibu kota Jakarta. Artikel ini menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk memperoleh gambaran secara keseluruhan permasalahan yang ditemukan di lapangan. Unit analisis yang digunakan adalah Pengasuh atau Kyai Pondok Pesantren, Guru dan Santri. Temuan dalam artikel ini adalah: Pertama, Transformasi tujuan pondok pesantren dalam menganggulangi radikalisme agama di pondok pesantren daerah penyangga ibu kota Jakarta yaitu dengan berusaha untuk menciptakan dan mengembangkan kepribadian muslim yang beriman dan bertaqwa kepada Allah Swt, berakhlak mulia dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Pesantren membimbing santri agar menjadi santri dewasa, bertindak dan berpikir secara kritis dan bertanggung jawab, juga menumbuhkan sikap saling menghargai dan menghormati setiap perbedaan budaya, adat istiadat, ras dan setiap kemampuan orang lain. Kedua, Transformasi kurikulum pondok pesantren dalam menganggulangi radikalisme agama di pondok pesantren daerah penyangga ibu kota Jakarta dengan memasukkan kurikulum yang mengajarkan kepada ilmu perbandingan mazhab, sehingga tidak memberi kesan eksklusifisme dari pemikiran lain. Ketiga, Transformasi metode pengajaran pondok pesantren dalam menganggulangi radikalisme agama di pondok pesantren daerah penyangga ibu kota Jakarta dengan memperbanyak penggunaan pembelajaran kooperatif atau metode pengajaran yang dirancang untuk mendidik kerja sama kelompok. Di samping dikembangkan untuk mencapai prestasi hasil belajar akademik, metode itu juga efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan sosial serta mendorong untuk menghormati pendapat orang lain sehingga menjadi cara untuk menanggulangi radikalisme agama pada santri. The COVID-19 pandemic period began to shift and shake the order of the learning process that usually takes place, one example is face-to-face learning turning into online learning. Online features seem to be a substitute for offline or face-to-face learning such as schoology, whatsapp, google classroom, moodle, zoom meeting, and several other applications that support learning (Kahfi & Kasanova, 2020). This shift has also begun to create new challenges for the world of Islamic boarding schools, as we all know that Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that implement a boarding school system. Usually the discipline of the students can be measured through the punctuality of coming to school on time, but now this is an obstacle for the kiai or the asatidz council regarding the learning evaluation process, especially if the students who carry out the learning process with the online system, many from the economy or lower class. those who live in areas that do not support the internet network. Likewise, it is rather difficult to control the students in carrying out activities such as compulsory worship and other circumcision, even though we all know that what is unique about the education system in pesantren is the transfer of knowledge from the kiai or the asatidz council. The focus of this research is the online learning process at the Roudlatul Khuffadz Islamic Boarding School, Sorong Regency. Therefore, the author uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method, namely research that produces descriptive data in the form of words or text and behavior, which can be observed from the subject itself (Kahfi & Kasanova, 2020). This was done to reveal facts about Islamic boarding school learning in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic at the Raudlatul Khuffadz Islamic boarding school, where most Islamic boarding schools were closed or using an online system. Fraenkel and Wallen argue that qualitative research can reveal real events that occur in the field (Kahfi & Kasanova, 2020). The methods that I will use include: Interview or Interview, Observation and Documentation Methods From the results of the study, the authors conclude that: First, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Roudlotul Khuffadz Islamic Boarding School continued to carry out learning as usual (outside the network) while still adhering to health protocols. Second), the obstacles faced by the Roudlotul Khuffadz Islamic Boarding School in learning during the pandemic are first, related to the equipment of medical devices for the prevention of Covid-19. Second, Infaq as one of the financial income of pesantren tends to decrease due to the impact of the guardians who are also affected by Covid-19 from an economic perspective.

Scabies is a skin disease caused by investment and sensitivity by Sarcoptes scabei mites, often found in Islamic boarding schools, because of the place was humid and the students' knowledge about life style was lack. Health Education was intended to increase the knowledge of the students at Al-Arifin Islamic boarding school about scabies and how to prevent it. The method of implementation in this community service activities was started from planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation. Health education was carried out through lectures and discussion by leaflets and PowerPoint presentations. The results showed 70.00% of participants gave an excellent rating of health education. Scabies health education activities provide benefits to improve health degree of public health specifically in the boarding school environment. Health education about scabies in the boarding school environment was very useful for increasing the knowledge of the students.

Paper ini mengkaji implementasi kesetaraan gender dalam pembinaan karakter santri Perempuan di Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso Kabupaten Barru Sulawesi Selatan. Paper terfokus pada implementasi kesetaraan dalam pendidikan karakter di Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso pada nilai-nilai kesetaraan gender dalam perspektif pendidikan karakter, faktor penghambat dan pendukung penerapan nilai-nilai kesetaraan, dan implementasi kesetaraan di pesantren. Tiga hal tersebut telah diterapkan dengan relevansi pendidikan karakter pada kesetaraan gender di pesantren. Berdasarkan bentuk data dan karakter objek yang diamati, penelitian ini tergolong penelitian survei. Masyarakat Pondok pesantren diantaranya Kyai, guru dan santri memiliki pemahaman yang cukup baik tentang gender. Siswa perempuan memandang persepsi gender sebagai sifat. Hal tersebut terejahwantakan dalam kegiatan ekstra di pesantren yang tidak membeda-bedakan siswa laki-laki dan perempuan.[This paper examines the implementation of gender equality in fostering the character of female students at the DDI Mangkoso Islamic Boarding School, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. The paper focuses on implementing equality in character education at the Islamic Boarding School DDI Mangkoso on the values of gender equality in the perspective of character education, inhibiting and supporting factors for the application of equality values, and the implementation of equality in Islamic boarding schools. These three things have been applied with the relevance of character education to gender equality in pesantren. Based on the form of data and the character of the object being observed, this research is classified as survey research. The Pondok Pesantren community, including kyai, teachers, and students, have a relatively good understanding of gender. Female students view gender perceptions as traits. This is manifested in extra activities at the pesantren that do not differentiate between male and female students.]

This study aims to 1) determine the multicultural values planting model in Daar El Qolam Islamic Boarding School. 2) knowing the implementation of multicultural values found in Daar El Qolam Islamic Boarding School. 3) knowing the impact of planting and implementing multicultural values on the personality of students in the El Qolam Daar Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. While the sources of research are leaders, Islamic boarding schools, head of care, head of worship, principals, teachers / teachers and students. Data collection techniques are done through interviews and observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques were performed using data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data inference. The findings in this study are the values of multicultural education found in Islamic Boarding Schools da el-Qolam are exemplary methods and methods of habituation. The impact of the cultivation of multicultural education is the growth of mutual tolerance, respect and acceptance of others, mutual cooperation is not hostile and not mutual there are conflicts due to differences in culture, ethnicity, language, customs. Hopefully this research is useful for Daar el-Qolam Islamic boarding school in particular and also beneficial for other educational institutions so that multicultural education can be implemented properly and correctly.

Background:Cervical cancer is a type of malignancy disease that is often found among women in  Indonesia. It has a relatively high frequency until 25.6%. According to the Ministry of Health, there are about 100 cases per 100 thousand population or 200 thousand cases annually, and the cases of cervical cancer in Central Java increase year to year. The high mortality rate of cervical cancer in Indosnesia due to the lack of general knowledge about the dangers of cancer, the early signs of cancer, the risks factors for cancer, the ways to overcome it correctly, as well as to familiarize themselves with a healthy lifestyle. The treatment as early as possible is an important thing by giving counseling and information about Cervical Cancer. It is one of promoted action to prevent and reduce the cervical cancer. The long-term goal of this research is to analyze and explore health issues within the scope of midwifery. Objectif This study has the specific purpose of analyzing the effect of health education on maternal knowledge about Cervical Cancer In the village of Tambakrejo, Tempel, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This study is a part of an effort to deepen the understanding of health knowledge among the community, especially in the obstetrics field. Result : This study is a quasi-experimental approach to one group pre-test to post-test design. The populations in this study are all couples of reproductive age in the village of Tambakrejo, Tempel, Sleman Yogyakarta. Conclusion The statistical test used is paired samples test. The research results show that there are differences in knowledge before and after giving health education about cervical cancer (p = 0.0001 <0.05). The knowledge of cervical cancer when pre-test with a category is 3% increased to 37% at post-test. Health education provides increase the knowledge of cervical cancer among the fertile age couples.
